Lis\u00e4ksi tutkin, onko oppilaan liikunta-aktiivisuus, liikuntamy\u00f6nteisyys tai arvio omasta liikuntakyvykkyydest\u00e4 yhteydess\u00e4 oppaan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4miseen. Oleellista oli perehty\u00e4, miten nuoren tulee liikkua terveyden kannalta ja miten oppaasta saisi rakennettua oppilaille mielenkiintoisen. Tarkoituksenani oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, onko kirjallisesta liikuntamateriaalista hy\u00f6ty\u00e4 oppilaille ja heid\u00e4n vanhemmilleen. \n \nTutkimusmenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytin oppaan tekemisess\u00e4 kirjallisuuskatsausta ja oppaan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemuksia tutkiessa kysely\u00e4. Kysely sis\u00e4lsi suljettuja kysymyksi\u00e4 ja kaksi avointa kysymyst\u00e4. Kohderyhm\u00e4n\u00e4 olivat 5-luokan oppilaat kolmesta alakoulusta, joista jokaisesta osallistui yksi tai kaksi luokkaa. Tutkittavia oppilaita oli yhteens\u00e4 74, joista 43 tytt\u00f6\u00e4 ja 31 poikaa. Oppilaiden vanhemmista tutkimukseen osallistui 27. Aineisto analysoitiin m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llisi\u00e4 menetelmi\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en. Tutkimustulosten analysoinnissa k\u00e4ytin SPSS tilastoanalyysiohjelmaa ja teemoittelua. K\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 olivat suorat jakaumat (prosentit), korrelaatiot ja keskiarvotestit (t-testi) ja varianssianalyysi. \n\nOppilaista noin 24 prosentia oli sit\u00e4 mielt\u00e4, ett\u00e4 opas on hy\u00f6dyllinen ja jokseenkin samaa mielt\u00e4 noin 39 prosenttia. Suurin osa (65 %) oppilaista koki oppaan helpottavan ainakin osittain liikuntataitojen ja kunnon osa-alueiden (kest\u00e4vyys, voima, nopeus, liikkuvuus) kehitt\u00e4mist\u00e4. Oppilaiden avoimissa vastauksissa tuli esille, ett\u00e4 paljon liikkuvilla ei ollut aikaa tai tarvetta oppaan k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Osa oppilasta koki, ett\u00e4 sai oppaasta uusia liikuntavinkkej\u00e4 ja se kannusti liikkumaan. \n\nVanhemmista 24 prosentia oli t\u00e4ysin samaa mielt\u00e4 v\u00e4itteest\u00e4, ett\u00e4 opas on hy\u00f6dyllinen ja osittain samaa mielt\u00e4 40 prosenttia. Suurin osa vanhemmista (56%) koki, ett\u00e4 oppaan avulla pystyisi neuvomaan lastaan kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n liikuntataitojaan ja kunnon eri osa-alueitaan. \n \nOppilailla liikunnasta pit\u00e4misell\u00e4 oli tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 yhteys oppaaseen perehtymiseen, oppaan harjoitteiden sek\u00e4 leikkien ja pelien tekemiseen. Liikunta-aktiivisuudella eik\u00e4 oppilaan liikuntakyvykkyydell\u00e4 ollut yhteytt\u00e4 oppaan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4miseen. \n \nVanhemman oppaaseen perehtyminen ja oppaan harjoitteiden ja pelien pelaaminen lapsen kanssa oli tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4sti yhteydess\u00e4 kesken\u00e4\u00e4n. Jos vanhempi tykk\u00e4si liikunnasta, oli todenn\u00e4k\u00f6isemp\u00e4\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 h\u00e4n teki oppaan pelej\u00e4 ja leikkej\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n lapsen kanssa.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The study consisted of three segments. Firstly, one purpose was to design a physical exercise guide Movesta virtaa! for Finnish 5th grade students in basic education and study the guide\u2019s user experiences. Secondly, the thesis studied how students\u2019 physical activity, positive attitude toward exercise and sport skills affect the use of the guide in their free time. The emphasis in this study was to find out exercises that can improve students\u2019 physical health and be motivating for them. Finally, the thesis studied if a written guide is useful for students and for their parents. A literature review and a questionnaire were used as methods. The questionnaire included open and closed questions. It was conducted in three different Finnish comprehensive schools, in each school; one or two classes participated in the questionnaire. There were 74 students, 43 girls and 31 boys from 5th grade. In addition, 27 students\u2019 parents answered the questionnaire. The data was analysed by using quantitative method. The SPSS-programme was used for closed questions and for thematising open questions. \n \nThe results showed that twenty-four percent of the students found the guide to be useful and thirty-nine percent found it to be somewhat useful. The majority, sixty-five percent, found the guide to be somewhat useful in improving for instance their stamina, strength, speed and mobility. The study found out that those students, who already have a physically active life, do not need the guide or they did not have enough time to focus on it. Some students responded that the guide offered new exercise movements, tips and it encouraged them to be more physically active. Twenty-four percent of the students\u2019 parents thought that the guide was useful and forty percent of the parents thought that the guide was somewhat useful. However, the majority of the parents found that the guide instructed them to help their child to develop their physical skills. \n \nThe attitude towards physical activity and sports had a statistical significance for those who read the guide. Physical activity nor the capability to be physically active had no statistical significance in using the guide. However, there was a statistical significance when parents\u2019 answers were compared.
