Tämän työn tavoitteena on käydä läpi 5G:n parannukset 4G:hen verrattuna sekä avata joitakin uusia sovellutusmahdollisuuksia terveydenseurannan alalla. Fifth generation network technology (5G technology) is being developed with a brisk pace as it is initially supposed to be adopted around the year 2020. 5G will bring with it a much improved data transfer rate which enables many new applications especially in the field of wearable and wireless technology. The main goal in regard to this thesis is to find out about the improvements of 5G over the older 4G technology and also to find out about new possible applications in the field of health monitoring.
