Koululiikunta on toiminnallinen oppiaine, jonka tavoitteena on vaikuttaa positiivisesti oppilaiden hyvinvointiin tukemalla niin fyysist\u00e4, sosiaalista kuin psyykkist\u00e4 toimintakyky\u00e4 sek\u00e4 my\u00f6nteist\u00e4 suhtautumista omaan kehoon. Koululiikuntaa arvioidaan Opetushallituksen laatiman opetussuunnitelman mukaisesti ja arvioinnin tulee aina olla sek\u00e4 oikeudenmukaista ett\u00e4 totuudenmukaista. Uuden opetussuunnitelman (2014) mukaan arviointi ei saa kohdistua oppilaan temperamenttiin. Aiempien tutkimustulosten mukaan temperamentilla on kuitenkin yhteys oppilaan arviointiin. Persoonallisuuden yksi osa eli temperamentti on perinn\u00f6llinen ja synnynn\u00e4inen piirteiden yhdistelm\u00e4, johon henkil\u00f6 ei voi itse vaikuttaa ja t\u00e4ten sen vaikutus arviointiin on ep\u00e4oikeudenmukaista.\r\n\r\nTutkimus oli kvalitatiivinen ja se perustui fenomenologis-hermeneuttiseen l\u00e4hestymistapaan. Tutkimus toteutettiin teemahaastatteluina. Haastateltavina oli kuusi liikunnanopettajaa, nelj\u00e4 naista ja kaksi miest\u00e4, kahdesta keskikokoisesta suomalaisesta kaupungista. Haastatteluiden teemoina olivat arviointi, ty\u00f6skentelytavat ja oppimisymp\u00e4rist\u00f6t, temperamentti, temperamentti liikuntatunneilla, temperamentin yhteys arviointiin sek\u00e4 arvioinnin apukeinot liikunnanopettajalle. Aineisto litteroitiin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n analysointia varten. \r\n\r\nHaastatteluiden perusteella liikunnanopettajat osasivat vaihtelevasti m\u00e4\u00e4ritell\u00e4 temperamenttia. Liikunnanopettajia ei ole opettajakoulutuksessa perehdytetty temperamenttiin tarpeeksi, eik\u00e4 heille ole annettu v\u00e4lineit\u00e4 toteuttaa arviointia ilman yhteytt\u00e4 temperamenttiin. Opettajat osasivat kuitenkin tunnistaa temperamenttipiirteit\u00e4 oppilaistaan liikuntatunneilla. Temperamentti oli opettajien mukaan yhteydess\u00e4 oppilaiden liikunnan arviointiin, vaikka kaikki opettajat tunnistivat, ettei niin saisi olla. Johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 todetaan, ett\u00e4 opetussuunnitelman ohjeistus temperamentin poisj\u00e4tt\u00e4miseksi arvioinnista on mahdotonta toteuttaa toiminnallisissa aineissa, kuten liikunnanopetuksessa, jossa persoona on hyvin vahvasti l\u00e4sn\u00e4. Opetussuunnitelman ohjeistusta tulisikin muokata liikuntaoppiaineelle soveltuvammaksi.\r\n\r\nTutkimuksessa esiin nousseita arvioinnin apukeinoja liikunnanopettajille ovat selke\u00e4t tavoitteet ja avoin arviointi. Opettajan tulisi kirjata tunneilla tekemi\u00e4\u00e4n havaintoja yl\u00f6s tai yll\u00e4pit\u00e4\u00e4 arviointivihkoa. Teet\u00e4tt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 itsearviointeja oppilaat p\u00e4\u00e4sev\u00e4t peilaamaan omaa osaamistaan opetuksen tavoitteisiin ja oppilaiden mielipiteet p\u00e4\u00e4sev\u00e4t my\u00f6s vaikuttamaan arviointiin. Opettajan tulisi varmistaa, ett\u00e4 kaikki oppilaat saisivat tasavertaisesti palautetta, osallistuisivat arviointikeskusteluihin ja ett\u00e4 heid\u00e4n l\u00e4ht\u00f6tasonsa otettaisiin huomioon sek\u00e4 opetuksessa ett\u00e4 arvioinnissa. Physical education is a functional school subject, which aims to have a positive effect on students\u2019 well-being by supporting their physical, social and mental performance. Furthermore, it can encourage students to have a positive attitude towards their own body. Physical education assessments are conducted in line with the curriculum guidelines set out by the Finnish National board of education. The assessment must always be fair and truthful. The new curriculum (2014) outlines that assessments are not to be linked with students\u2019 temperaments. However, previous studies have found a relationship between temperaments and assessment. This part of the personality, temperament, is a hereditary and an innate combination of traits, which cannot be altered by oneself and therefore the link to assessment is inequitable.\r\n\r\nThe study was qualitative and based on a phenomenological-hermeneutical approach. The study was conducted by performing theme interviews. There were in total six theme interviews with four female and two male teachers from two medium-sized Finnish cities. The themes of the interviews were school assessment, working habits and learning environments, temperament, temperament in physical education classes, the link between temperament and school assessment and finally support methods for the assessment of physical education. The spoken interview material was transcribed for analysation.\r\n\r\nThe interviews revealed that the physical education teachers were able to define the concept of temperament with varying levels of success. The teachers were given little understanding of the concept of temperament during their education in sports pedagogy. Furthermore, the teachers had not been educated in doing assessment without linking grades to temperament. Nonetheless the teachers were able to recognize some temperament traits of their students in physical education classes. The interviewees suggested that students\u2019 temperament traits have affected their assessments, even though they considered it unacceptable. The conclusion is that it is practically impossible to make assessments without considering temperament, as intended in the curriculum, in a functional school subject such as physical education, in which students\u2019 personas are highly present. The curriculum guidelines should be adapted to be more appropriate to physical education.\r\n\r\nThe study shows that some support methods for physical education assessment are the act of defining clear goals for education and having open assessment. It is advisable that teachers make a written record of their observations or that they maintain a notebook for the assessment. Students can reflect on their own skills in comparison to the goals of education in self-evaluations and thus their own opinions may have an effect on the grading. Teachers should take care that all students get a comparable amount of feedback, that they participate in assessment discourse with the teacher and that every student\u2019s starting level has been taken into account in the teaching and assessment.
