The purpose of these technologies is to provide quantitative\ndata of the performance for the athlete. The goal of this paper to do a literature review on\nhow GPS and inertial measurement technologies are used in sports. Both technologies can provide means for the athlete to enhance performance and prevent injuries in real time. GPS technology\nhas been used to give information about location, velocity, distance and other\nvalues that are derived from these values. Inertial measurement technology has among other\nthings been used to measure trajectories, count repetitions and measure forces impacting an\nathlete. Especially when both these technologies are used together, they can measure a great\namount of parameters influencing the performance at the same time. Tavoitteena tutkimuksessa on tutkia kirjallisuuskatsauksena,\nkuinka GPS- ja inertiamittausteknologiaa on k\u00e4ytetty urheilussa. Molemmat teknologiat\npystyv\u00e4t tarjoamaan urheilijalle keinoja parantaa suorituskyky\u00e4\u00e4n ja ehk\u00e4ist\u00e4 loukkaantumisia\nreaaliaikaisesti. GPS-teknologiaa on k\u00e4ytetty sijainnin, nopeuden, matkan sek\u00e4\nn\u00e4ist\u00e4 johdettujen arvojen mittaamiseen.
