N\u00e4iden itsen\u00e4isten verkkokauppojen menestymisen kannalta on eritt\u00e4in t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 kuluttajat kokevat niit\u00e4 kohtaan ensiluottamuksen tunnetta. Muuten kuluttajan mielenkiinto verkkokaupan vaihtamista kohtaan kasvaa. Ilman ensiluottamuksen tunnetta kuluttaja ei uskalla luovuttaa verkkokaupalle omia henkil\u00f6kohtaisia tietojaan, jonka takia h\u00e4n ei halua asioida verkkokaupan kanssa. Ensiluottamuksen tutkiminen on mielenkiintoista, koska perinteisen luottamuksen tarvitsemaa vaiheittaista kanssak\u00e4ymist\u00e4 ei ehdi muodostumaan, vaan kuluttaja joutuu heti ensimm\u00e4isess\u00e4 kanssak\u00e4ymisess\u00e4 luovuttamaan itses\u00e4\u00e4n paljon henkil\u00f6kohtaista informaatiota, kuten osoite- ja luottokorttitiedot verkkokaupalle. Ensiluottamuksen tuntu onkin t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 uusien asiakkuussuhteiden luomiseksi. Uudet asiakkuussuhteet taas ovat elinehto menestyv\u00e4lle verkkokaupalle. Tutkimuksessa otettiin kirjallisuuskatsauksen keinoin selv\u00e4\u00e4, mill\u00e4 tekij\u00f6ill\u00e4 kuluttajalle voidaan luoda ensiluottamuksen tunnetta. Tutkimuksessa huomattiin, ett\u00e4 ensiluottamusta voidaan rakentaa verkkokaupan erikoispiirteist\u00e4 laajennetun markkinan, informaation m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n, henkil\u00f6kohtaisen kokemuksen, kasvojen puuttumisen ja turvallisuuden tunteen ulottuvuuksissa. Tulevaisuudessa ensiluottamuksen kontekstissa olisi t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 tutkia eri tekij\u00f6iden yhteisvaikutuksia, sek\u00e4 tarkempien kuluttajaryhmien kokemaa ensiluottamusta. This has increased the number of independent webstores which do not have a physical brick and mortar store. For the success of these independent webstores it is extremely important that the consumers feel initial trust towards them. If initial trust is not experienced, the like hood of changing the vendor increases. Without the feeling of initial trust, the consumer is not willing to hand over any personal information and the transaction is not completed. Research of initial trust is interesting because the traditional formation of trust cannot be executed and in the first intercourse. Because of this, the consumer has to give out personal information such as e-mail address and credit card information during the first intercourse. Therefore, the formation of initial trust is important for creating new customer relationships. New customer relationships are the lifeline of a succeeding e-commerce. This research is executed as a literary review, and the main goal is to figure out what kind of factors create the feeling of initial trust. The research found out that out of the special features of e-commerce influencing the initial trust are: the extended market, the amount of information, the personal experience, the anonymity and the feeling of being safe. In the future research it would be important to combine the found factors as well as take a deeper look in to more specific consumer groups and their formation of initial trust.
