Tutkimus on sek\u00e4 itsess\u00e4\u00e4n arvokas tapaustutkimus (intrinsic case \r\nstudy) ett\u00e4 v\u00e4lineellinen (instrumental case study). Tutkimuksen tulkinnoissa \r\nhuomioitiin konteksti pyritt\u00e4ess\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n ja kuvaamaan itse tapausta. \r\nTutkittavaa ilmi\u00f6t\u00e4 eli sosiaalisen median hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4mist\u00e4 liikunta-alan yrityksen liiketoiminnassa tutkittiin haastatteluilla. Haastattelut ker\u00e4ttiin nelj\u00e4lt\u00e4 kouluttautujalta ja nelj\u00e4lt\u00e4 tutkittavan tapauksen avainhenkil\u00f6lt\u00e4. Haastatteluaineistoa l\u00e4hestyttiin teemahaastatteluna ja sen analysoinnissa sovellettiin temaattista aineiston analyysitapaa. Sosiaalisella medialla tarkoitetaan t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa kaikkia sosiaalisen median rakenteita kuten blogit, keskustelupalstat, \r\ntwitter, Facebook. Sosiaalista mediaa tarkastellaan sek\u00e4 tapausyrityksen asiakkaiden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta ett\u00e4 yrityksen avainhenkil\u00f6iden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta, koska pyrittiin saamaan kokonaisvaltaista kuvaa sosiaalisesta mediasta asiakkuuden \r\nhallinnassa ja tapausyrityksen liiketoiminnassa. Lis\u00e4ksi kiinnitettiin huomiota \r\nsosiaalisen median mahdollisuuksiin tapausyrityksen liiketoimintamallien kehitt\u00e4misess\u00e4. Tutkimus osoittaa, ett\u00e4 yritys Trainer4Youn toimipisteess\u00e4 sosiaalista mediaa hy\u00f6dynnet\u00e4\u00e4n l\u00e4hinn\u00e4 blogien ja Facebook-tiedottamisen avulla. \r\nTapausorganisaation liiketoimintamallin kehitt\u00e4minen sosiaalista mediaa hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 on suunnitteluvaiheessa. Tutkittavassa tapauksessa kaikki haastateltavat asiakkaat olivat naisia ja edustivat suhteellisen nuorta ik\u00e4polvea. Sen \r\nsijaan yrityksen avainhenkil\u00f6t olivat miehi\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa esitell\u00e4\u00e4n tyypillinen sosiaalisen median kautta saavutettava hyvinvointialan asiakaskunta, joiden kertomuksissa korostuu sosiaalisen median k\u00e4yt\u00f6n yhteis\u00f6llisyys mutta \r\nmy\u00f6s yksil\u00f6llisyys. Liiketoiminnan kehitt\u00e4minen vanhempien ik\u00e4luokkien ja \r\nmiesten saavuttamiseksi sosiaalisen median avulla ja liiketoimintamallin kehitt\u00e4minen sosiaalista mediaa hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 nousi esille tapausyrityksen tulevaisuuden haasteena. Sosiaalinen media soveltuu t\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen perusteella \r\nhyvin hyvinvointialan yrityksen koulutuksen kanavaksi ja toiminnan kehitt\u00e4miseen. This case study is valuable in itself (intrinsic case study) and instrumental \r\n(instrumental case study). The study takes into account the meaning of the con-\r\ntext in regard to understand and describe the case itself. The usage of social \r\nmedia in a well-being company's business was investigated by interviews. In-\r\nterviews were collected from four customer and four executives in the company. \r\nThe data was gathered by interviews and the phenomenon was approached by \r\na thematic analysis that was applied as a data analysis method. The concept of \r\nsocial media in this thesis refers to all the tools and structures of social media \r\nsuch as blogs, forums, twitter, and facebook. The role of social media in business in the case of well-being company is investigated from both business customers and from the company's executives\u2019 point of view, because in order to \r\ngain a comprehensive view of social media in customer relationship management and business operations in the company. In addition, attention was paid \r\nto the possibilities of social media in the development processes of the comp\r\nny's business models. Research shows that the company Trainer4You is utilizing in their information production mainly blogs and Facebook. Plans for development of the business model by utilizing social media have been started in \r\nthe company. It is worth of note that in this case study all of the interviewed \r\ncustomers were women and represented relatively young age groups. The \r\ncompany\u2019s executives, instead, were men. In the present study the typical customer segments were presented that the well-being company can reach. This \r\ncustomer segment is characterized by appreciating both community and individuality of the use of social media. Further, business development seeking to \r\nachieve also older age groups and men in order to develope business models \r\narose as challenges in the future of the case company. Finally, this study \r\nshowed that social media is a relevant way to a well-being company as a channel for training and as a channel for developing business model.
