Tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin eri tekij\u00f6it\u00e4, jotka ovat yhteydess\u00e4 \r\nkoululiikuntamotivaatioon. Erityisen kiinnostuksen kohteena oli opettajan mahdollisuus vaikuttaa \r\noppilaiden koululiikuntamotivaatioon. Lis\u00e4ksi haluttiin selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, mit\u00e4 muutoksia lukiolaistyt\u00f6t \r\ntekisiv\u00e4t liikuntatunneille, jotta ne motivoisivat enemm\u00e4n. Tutkimuksen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin \r\nhaastattelujen ja ainekirjoitusten avulla. Haastatteluja oli yhteens\u00e4 seitsem\u00e4n ja ainekirjoituksia 20. \r\nHaastatteluista nelj\u00e4 toteutettiin kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2014 ja kolme kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2016. Ainekirjoitukset ker\u00e4ttiin \r\nkev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2016. Tutkimuksen aineisto analysoitiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isesti. Yhteens\u00e4 tutkimukseen \r\nosallistui 27 lukiolaistytt\u00f6\u00e4. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSaatujen tuloksien mukaan koululiikunta motivoi ja siihen suhtaudutaan positiivisesti. Kolme eniten \r\nmotivaatiota nostavaa tekij\u00e4\u00e4 t\u00e4rkeysj\u00e4rjestyksess\u00e4 olivat 1) opettajan tasapuolinen kannustus, 2) \r\ntoimiva liikuntaryhm\u00e4 ja 3) opettajan positiivinen asenne. Kolme eniten motivaatiota laskevaa \r\ntekij\u00e4\u00e4 olivat t\u00e4rkeysj\u00e4rjestyksess\u00e4 1) opettaja, joka pakottaa oppilaat toimimaan oppilaiden tahdon \r\nvastaisesti 2) kuntotestit ja 3) numeroarviointi. Opettajalla havaittiin olevan useita mahdollisuuksia \r\nvaikuttaa oppilaiden liikuntamotivaatioon esimerkiksi olemalla l\u00e4sn\u00e4 ja kannustava sek\u00e4 \r\npuuttumalla negatiivisiin ryhm\u00e4ilmi\u00f6ihin kuten kiusaamiseen. Oppilaat esittiv\u00e4t liikuntatunneille \r\nuseita erilaisia muutosehdotuksia, joista kuntotestien ja numeroarvioinnin poistaminen saivat eniten \r\nkannatusta. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSaatujen tulosten ja pohdintojen valossa t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 olisi, ett\u00e4 liikunnanopettajalla on riitt\u00e4v\u00e4t \r\nvuorovaikutus- ja ryhm\u00e4nhallintataidot, jotta h\u00e4n osaa puuttua negatiivisiin ryhm\u00e4ilmi\u00f6ihin \r\nliikuntatunnin aikana, kohdata oppilaat yksil\u00f6in\u00e4 ja olla kannustava. Tuloksissa selvisi, ett\u00e4 \r\nkuntotestit ja niiden tulosten arvioiminen sek\u00e4 oppilaiden vertailu tulosten mukaan laskee \r\noppilaiden motivaatiota. The study examines especially the role of the physical education teacher \r\nin motivating the students. In addition, the goal was to find out what changes to physical education \r\nclasses female students would recommend in order to make them more appealing. The data consists \r\nof seven interviews and of twenty essays. One of the interviews was held with two students at a \r\ntime, and six with only one interviewee. Four of the interviews were conducted during the spring of \r\n2014 and three during the spring of 2016. The essays were written in spring 2016. The analysis of \r\nthe material was data driven. In total, 27 students participated in the study. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe results show that female students consider physical education classes to be motivating, and they \r\nhave a positive attitude towards them. Three main factors enhancing the motivation are the \r\nfollowing, in order of importance: 1) teacher encourages the students even-handedly 2) good group \r\ndynamic 3) positive attitude of the physical educator. Three factors that lower the motivation the \r\nmost are, in order of importance: 1) coercive way of the teacher 2) fitness test and 3) grading. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe teacher can affect the motivation in various ways, for example by being actively present, \r\nsupportive and by intervening in negative things happening in the group, like bullying. The students \r\nproposed several changes to physical education classes, especially the elimination of the fitness \r\ntests and gradings. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nIn the light of the results, it is important that the physical educator has competent communication \r\nand group leading skills in order for her or him to intervene in negative things happening in the \r\ngroup, to be able to encounter the students as individuals and to be supportive during the class. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nIf the physical educator compares the skills or the fitness tests results of the students, it reduces their \r\nmotivation.
