The cross section is first calculated using \"ordinary\" perturbative\r\nquantum chromodynamics with the external field being that of a lepton. The\r\nmatrix element for the scattering is constructed from the two related Feyn\r\nman diagrams and the calculation of the cross section then proceeds straight-\r\nforwardly with the methods taught in any basic particle physics course. The\r\nhigh energy limit is given by selecting only the terms in the matrix element\r\nthat have the highest power of the center of mass momentum.\r\nSecond, the process is calculated in light cone perturbation theory. The\r\nmethod used in this work closely follows that of Bjorken, Kogut and Soper's\r\nQED calculation. The interacting initial and final states are expanded\r\ninto series of Fock states with the aid of light cone wave functions and the\r\namplitude is calculated using \"old-fashioned\" Hamiltonian perturbation theory.
