| Summary: | Tässä pro gradu -tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan aiempien tutkimuksien ja teorioiden valossa tietojärjestelmän käyttöönottoon, niiden omaksumiseen ja tietojärjestelmän käytön jatkamiseen liittyviä tekijöitä. Tietojärjestelmäprojektin ja tietojärjestelmän käytön menestymiseen vaikuttavien tekijöiden lisäksi tarkastellaan tietojärjestelmän käyttäjän sosiaalisen ympäristön vaikutusta tietojärjestelmän käyttötilanteeseen. Lopuksi tutkitaan käyttäjän motivaatiotekijöitä, joilla voi olla vaikutusta siihen, miten kiinnostavana ja hyödyllisenä eri käyttäjät kokevat järjestelmän käytön. Tutkimus on suoritettu kuluttajanäkökulmasta, vaikka tutkimuksen kohteena oleva tietojärjestelmä ja sen käyttöympäristö liittyvät työkäyttöön ja järjestelmän hyödyntämiseen liiketoiminnan yhteydessä. Näkökulma on valittu, koska järjestelmän omaksumista ja käytön jatkamista tutkitaan empiirisesti franchising-toimintaympäristössä, jossa järjestelmän käyttö perustuu käyttäjän vapaaehtoiseen valintaan.
The Influential Factors in the Information systems adoption and continuation of the usage : case study. This Master’s Thesis examines the influential factors of information systems deployment and adoption as well as continuation of usage by examining earlier studies and theories. At first there is an analysis of the success factors of information system implementation project and information systems success factors in general. Thereafter this study concentrates on the influence that social environment has on the user and the situation of information system usage. Finally, the center of attention is in the motivational factors that will affect how interesting and useful users find to utilize the information system. The subject of matter is researched from the consumer’s point of view even though the information system studied is made for business purpose and used in a business context. This point of view was selected because the empiric study was conducted in the franchising environment where the usage of the information system is based on voluntarism. The examination of factors influencing in the information systems deployment, information systems adoption and continuation of the usage is implemented as a literature review from this area’s literature and the findings are gathered from previous researchers’ results.
