Kieltenopetuksessa \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4minen j\u00e4\u00e4 kuitenkin usein muiden kielen osa-alueiden varjoon. \u00c4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opettamiseen vaikuttavat useat tekij\u00e4t, kuten opettaja ja k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 olevat oppikirjat. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa selvitettiin sit\u00e4, millaisessa osassa \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opettaminen k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6ss\u00e4 on saksanopettajien ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 sek\u00e4 miten he k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t uusia oppikirjasarjoja \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opettamiseen. Tarkastelun kohteena oli my\u00f6s se, miten opettajat muutoin k\u00e4sittelev\u00e4t \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4mist\u00e4 opetuksessaan sek\u00e4 miten he arvioivat oppilaidensa \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4mist\u00e4. Tutkimusmenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin teemahaastattelua. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu nelj\u00e4st\u00e4 opettajahaastattelusta, jotka analysoitiin laadullisesti. \r\n \r\nTuloksista ilmeni, ett\u00e4 opettajat kokevat \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opettamisen olennaisena osana ty\u00f6t\u00e4\u00e4n ja pit\u00e4v\u00e4t \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4mist\u00e4 kielitaidon t\u00e4rke\u00e4n\u00e4 osana. Lukion opettajat kokivat, etteiv\u00e4t kuitenkaan kurssien tiiviin aikataulun vuoksi ehdi panostamaan \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4miseen niin paljon kuin haluaisivat. Viestinn\u00e4llisyys ja ymm\u00e4rrett\u00e4vyys koettiin t\u00e4rkeimpin\u00e4 \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen oppistavoitteina. Eroja oli siin\u00e4, kuinka tietoisesti opettajat asettivat tavoitteita sek\u00e4 siin\u00e4, asettivatko he yleisemm\u00e4n tason tavoitteita vai spesifimpi\u00e4, tiettyihin \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen osa-alueisiin liittyvi\u00e4 tavoitteita. \r\n \r\nAnalyysin perusteella \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opetus etenee pitk\u00e4lti oppikirjan ehdoilla. Oppikirjan \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misosioiden k\u00e4sittely ja teht\u00e4vien tekeminen muodostavat valtaosan \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opetuksesta. \u00c4\u00e4neen lukeminen ja mallin mukaan toistaminen olivat yleisimmin k\u00e4ytetyt teht\u00e4v\u00e4tyypit. Teoreettinen \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opetus oli marginaalisessa osassa. Kirjasarjat koettiin p\u00e4\u00e4osin hyvin tai eritt\u00e4in hyvin \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opetukseen soveltuviksi. Yksi opettaja koki, ett\u00e4 pelkk\u00e4 kirjan tarjoama materiaali on riitt\u00e4m\u00e4t\u00f6n. \u00c4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen eri osa-alueiden k\u00e4sittelyyn oppikirjoissa oltiin tyytyv\u00e4isi\u00e4, vaikka kirjasarjoissa on aiemman tutkimuksen perusteella my\u00f6s merkitt\u00e4vi\u00e4 puutteita. \r\n \r\nOpettajat k\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t kirjan ohella my\u00f6s muita materiaaleja \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opettamiseen ja n\u00e4iss\u00e4 moderni teknologia oli avainasemassa. Kielistudiota, \u00e4lypuhelimia ja tabletteja sek\u00e4 erilaisia sovelluksia hy\u00f6dynnettiin s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6llisesti. Oppilaiden kohdekielisen puheen \u00e4\u00e4nitt\u00e4minen oli suosittu metodi ja sit\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin oppilaan edistymisen seurantaan sek\u00e4 \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen arviointiin. Yleisi\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettyj\u00e4 menetelmi\u00e4 olivat kohdekielen mahdollisimman runsas k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 sek\u00e4 sellaisten \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen osa-alueiden painottaminen, jotka ovat oppilaille haastavimpia. Oppilaiden \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4mist\u00e4 arvioitiin p\u00e4\u00e4osin jatkuvana arviointina, yhdell\u00e4 opettajalla oli k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 erillinen \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4mistesti. Puheen ymm\u00e4rrett\u00e4vyys ja sujuvuus olivat t\u00e4rkeimm\u00e4t arviointikriteerit. \u00c4\u00e4nt\u00e4mist\u00e4 arvioidaan ja korjataan hienotunteisesti, ja s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6llisen positiivisen palautteen antaminen koettiin eritt\u00e4in t\u00e4rke\u00e4n\u00e4. Eroja l\u00f6ytyi opettajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4mist\u00e4 korjaustekniikoista. Oppilaat antoivat my\u00f6s vertaispalautetta toistensa \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misest\u00e4.
