Liikuntapedagogiikan pro gradu -tutkielma, 110 s., 5 liitett\u00e4.\n\nTutkielman tarkoitus oli suunnitella, toteuttaa ja arvioida inaktiivisille yl\u00e4kouluik\u00e4isille tyt\u00f6ille liikuntaopoilujakso, jossa kaksi pro gradu -tutkielman tekij\u00e4\u00e4 tuki inaktiivisten tytt\u00f6jen vapaa-ajan liikunnan lis\u00e4\u00e4mist\u00e4. Liikuntaopoilulla tarkoitetaan liikuntaan liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 neuvontaa, jossa asetetaan henkil\u00f6kohtaiset tavoitteet, tuetaan joustavamman liikuntak\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisen syntymist\u00e4 ja kannustetaan liikkumaan omaehtoisesti. Tavoitteena oli, ett\u00e4 liikuntaopoilun my\u00f6t\u00e4 tyt\u00f6t p\u00e4\u00e4sisiv\u00e4t itse asettamaansa pieneen liikuntak\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisen muutokseen nelj\u00e4n kuukauden aikana. L\u00e4ht\u00f6kohtana oli omien arvojen pohjalta toimiminen sek\u00e4 itsem\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4misteorian mukaisten psykologisten perustarpeiden (koettu p\u00e4tevyys ja autonomia sek\u00e4 sosiaalinen yhteenkuuluvuus) huomioon ottaminen. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman avulla pyrittiin laajentamaan n\u00e4kemyst\u00e4 siit\u00e4, miten liikunnanopetuksen yhteyteen voitaisiin rakentaa toimintamalli, jossa otetaan huomioon oppilaat, joiden liikunta-aktiivisuus ei ole riitt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 oman terveyden edist\u00e4misen kannalta.\n\nTutkimus oli laadullinen toimintatutkimus. Tutkimus toteutettiin keskikokoisessa l\u00e4nsi-suomalaisessa yl\u00e4koulussa ja sen l\u00e4hiymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4 yl\u00e4kouluik\u00e4isille tyt\u00f6ille (n=7). Tutkimus toteutettiin ja aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin syyslukukauden 2016 lopussa ja kev\u00e4tlukukauden 2017 alussa oppilaiden kouluajan ulkopuolella. Liikuntaopoilun suunnittelu ja toteutus kesti yhteens\u00e4 nelj\u00e4 kuukautta. Tutkittavat olivat liikuntaopoilun suunnittelussa mukana. Tutkielman aineisto koostui tyt\u00f6ilt\u00e4 ker\u00e4tyist\u00e4 alku- ja loppukyselylomakkeista, liikuntap\u00e4iv\u00e4kirjoista sek\u00e4 liikuntaopojen tapahtuma- ja tutkijap\u00e4iv\u00e4kirjoista. Toimintatutkimuksen tapaan tutkimuksessa edettiin sykleitt\u00e4in suunnittelun, toteutuksen, reflektoinnin ja uudelleen suunnittelun keh\u00e4n\u00e4. Analyysimenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi\u00e4.\n\nTutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 liikuntaopoilulla onnistuttiin v\u00e4hent\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n tytt\u00f6jen liikkumisen esteit\u00e4 sek\u00e4 lis\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n ja vahvistamaan liikkumisen syit\u00e4. Liikuntaopoina tutkielman tekij\u00e4t onnistuivat auttamaan tytt\u00f6j\u00e4 liikuntak\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymiseen liittyvien ajatusten ja asenteiden muuttamisessa positiiviseen suuntaan niin, ett\u00e4 useimmat osallistujista lis\u00e4siv\u00e4t liikunta-aktiivisuuttaan ainakin toistaiseksi t\u00e4m\u00e4n nelj\u00e4n kuukauden jakson aikana. Ne, joiden liikunta-aktiivisuus ei juurikaan lis\u00e4\u00e4ntynyt, eiv\u00e4t osallistuneet kuin muutamiin liikuntatapaamisiin, joten emme saaneet heit\u00e4 sitoutettua ty\u00f6skentelem\u00e4\u00e4n omien tavoitteidensa eteen. Kaikki osallistujat arvioivat liikuntainnostuneisuutensa nousseen ainakin hieman ja suurin osa arvioi liikuntam\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4ns\u00e4 kasvavan tulevaisuudessa liikuntaopoilun j\u00e4lkeenkin. Kaikki tyt\u00f6t kokivat liikuntaopoilun mukavaksi ja onnistuneeksi tavaksi lis\u00e4t\u00e4 omaa vapaa-ajan liikuntaansa.\n\nLiikuntaopoilun kaltainen liikuntaneuvonta-malli voisi toteutua onnistuneesti muissakin yl\u00e4kouluissa. Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Master\u2019s thesis, 110 pp., 5 appendices. \n\nThe purpose of the thesis was to design, execute and evaluate a period of physical activity counselling for girls at upper comprehensive school in which the two thesis makers supported the augmentation of the physical activity for inactive girls. The target was to make the girls to have a little change in their physical activity habits based on the physical activity counselling. The basis of the dissertation was to act based on the actors' own values and taking into account the psychological basic needs (the experienced competence and autonomy as well as the social cohesion) according to the theory of self-determination. This thesis was an attempt to expand the vision of how to build a model in affiliation with physical activity which takes into account pupils whose physical activity is not sufficient for their health. \n\nThe study was a qualitative action study. The study was carried out in a middle sized upper comprehensive school and its close surroundings in Western Finland for girls at upper comprehensive school (n=7). The study was carried out and the material collected in the period of fall 2016 and spring 2017. The planning and execution of the physical activity counselling took four months total. The people being examined were participating in the planning of the physical activity counselling. The material of the study was comprised of starting and finishing questionnaires collected from the girls, physical activity diaries and event and researcher diaries collected from the physical activity counsellors. As in the case of activity analysis the study was advanced by cycles as a circle of execution, reflection and redesign. The method of analysis was a content analysis which was aimed at clarifying the actualization of the target of the study. \n\nThe study pointed out that the obstacles for the physical activity of girls were being diminished by the physical activity and exercise counselling and that the reasons for physical activity were increased and strengthened. Physical activity counsellors managed to help girls to change their thoughts and attitudes concerning physical activity towards a positive orientation such that most of the participants increased their physical activity for now. Those who did not increase their physical activity were also able to access only few physical activity events which means that we were not able to engage them into advancing their own targets. All participants assessed that their enthusiasm towards physical activity was increased at least a little and most of them judged that their physical activity would be increased in the future after performing the physical activity counselling period.
