| Yhteenveto: | The research consisted of the philosophical-historical part and the theoretical methodology of the part. A qualitative research was conducted through theme interviews and participatory observation.
The study looked at the harmonic singing in the ecclesiastical context and defined the experience that singing produces. The research looked at the philosophical-historical origins of harmonic singing and integrated it with the methods of systematic music science into a field of research in other sciences such as psychology, physics, vocology, music technology, occupational therapy, music therapy, theology, religion, linguistics.
The phenomenological-hermeneutical point of view, combined with the body phenomenology and the theoretical framework, was a theoretical methodology.
A qualitative research aimed at discovering the experience of harmonic singing and its importance for the enthusiast. The research assumed that a harmonic singing could be seen as a connecting cultures and growth-seeking method. Tutkimus koostui filosofis–historiallisesta osasta ja teoreettisesta metodologia osasta. Laadullinen tutkimus toteutettiin teemahaastattelujen ja osallistuvan havainnoinnin avulla.
Tutkimus tarkasteli harmonista laulua kirkollisessa kontekstissa ja määritteli sitä kokemusta, jonka laulu saa aikaan. Tutkimus tarkasteli harmonisen laulun filosofis-historiallisia lähtökohtia ja integroi sitä systemaattisen musiikkitieteen menetelmin osaksi muiden tieteiden tutkimuskenttää, kuten (psykologia, fysiikka, vokologia, musiikkiteknologia, toimintaterapia, musiikkiterapia, teologia, uskontotiede, kielitieteet).
Kokemuksen tarkastelemisessa teoreettisena metodologiana toimi fenomenologis-hermeneuttinen näkökulma, yhdistettynä ruumiinfenomenologiaan ja teoreettiseen viitekehykseen.
Laadullinen tutkimus pyrki selvittämään harmonisen laulun kokemusta ja sen merkitystä harrastajalle. Tutkimuksella oli oletuksena, että harmoninen laulu voidaan nähdä kulttuureja yhdistävänä ja kasvuun tähtäävänä metodina.
Tulokset vahvistavat aikaisempia löytöjä äänen syvällisestä merkityksestä ja harmonisen laulun hoitavuudesta. Harmoninen laulu toimii kulttuureja yhdistävänä ja kasvuun tähtäävänä metodina.
