Tarkastelun kohteena on B2C-verkkokaupank\u00e4ynti (Business to Consumer). Kaupank\u00e4ynnin yleistyminen verkossa luo jatkuvasti kovempaa kilpailua kauppiaiden v\u00e4lille. T\u00e4st\u00e4 syyst\u00e4 uusien asiakkaiden houkuttelu ja jo olemassa olevien sitouttaminen vaatii verkkokaupalta enemm\u00e4n kuin ainoastaan jokaiselta sivustolta l\u00f6ytyv\u00e4t perustoiminnallisuudet, jotta verkkokaupan on mahdollista erottautua kilpailijoistaan. HCI-tutkijoiden (Human Computer Interaction) huomio onkin viime aikoina keskittynyt entist\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemuksen m\u00e4\u00e4rittelemiseen ja tutkimiseen my\u00f6s verkkokauppaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4. Tutkielmassa k\u00e4ytettyjen l\u00e4hteiden perusteella luottamuksen vahvistaminen, k\u00e4ytt\u00f6liittym\u00e4n tarjoama positiivinen kokemus, mahdollisimman kattavan tiedon tarjoaminen ja monipuolisen vuorovaikutuksen mahdollistaminen ovat keskeisimpi\u00e4 asiakkaiden ostop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6kseen positiivisesti vaikuttavia k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemuksen tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 verkkokaupassa. The topic is covered by first explaining and defining the entities of e-commerce and user experience and finally by combining them whilst examining the effects of user experience in online stores. This thesis is focusing on B2C (Business to Consumer) e-commerce. The constant generalization of e-commerce creates a lot of competition between the retailers. Thus nowadays it is not possible to stand out only with the common functionalities of a website, since customers demand more than that when choosing and committing to an online store. This is why the focus of HCI (Human Computer Interaction) research has begun to shift more and more towards defining and exploring user experience also in online store context. Based on the sources used in this thesis the main user experience factors that can affect positively customers\u2019 buying decision online are strengthening consumers\u2019 trust, providing positive UI (User Interface) experience, providing comprehensive information and offering versatile interaction possibilities on the webpage.
