Liikuntakasvatuksen laitos, Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopisto, Liikuntapedagogiikan pro gradu -tutkielma, 103 s., yksi liite. \n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n pro gradu-tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia muutoksia yl\u00e4kouluun siirtyminen aiheuttaa fyysisen aktiivisuuden, liikuntatuntien koetun motivaatioilmaston, koetun fyysisen p\u00e4tevyyden ja koululiikunnan arvostuksen suhteen. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin viides- ja seitsem\u00e4sluokkalaisten oppilaiden eroja valittujen muuttujien suhteen. Erojen tarkastelua tehtiin my\u00f6s samalla luokkatasolla olevien tytt\u00f6jen ja poikien v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytettiin vuonna 2014 ker\u00e4tty\u00e4 LIITU-tutkimuksen aineistoa. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin samaan aikaan WHO-koululaistutkimuksen kanssa ja noin puolet kouluista osallistui kumpaankin tutkimukseen. LIITU-tutkimuksen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin s\u00e4hk\u00f6isen kyselylomakkeen avulla ja vastaajia oli yhteens\u00e4 3071, joista 916 viidesluokkalaisia ja 935 seitsem\u00e4sluokkalaisia. Aineistosta valitut summamuuttujat analysoitiin SPSS-ohjelman avulla.\n\nTutkimuksen tulosten perusteella oppilaiden fyysinen aktiivisuus oli pienempi seitsem\u00e4nnell\u00e4 kuin viidennell\u00e4 luokalla. Viidesluokkalaiset pojat olivat fyysisesti aktiivisempia kuin viidesluokkalaiset tyt\u00f6t. Seitsem\u00e4sluokkalaisten tytt\u00f6jen ja poikien fyysisess\u00e4 aktiivisuudessa ei ollut eroa. Sek\u00e4 viides- ett\u00e4 seitsem\u00e4sluokkalaiset tyt\u00f6t ja pojat kokivat liikuntatuntien motivaatioilmaston enemm\u00e4n teht\u00e4v\u00e4- kuin kilpailusuuntautuneeksi. Tyt\u00f6t kokivat liikuntatunnit enemm\u00e4n teht\u00e4v\u00e4suuntautuneeksi poikiin verrattuna. Pojat sen sijaan kokivat koululiikunnan selke\u00e4sti enemm\u00e4n kilpailusuuntautuneeksi. Tytt\u00f6jen kokemus liikuntatuntien kilpailusuuntautuneisuudesta lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyi hieman yl\u00e4kouluun siirrytt\u00e4ess\u00e4. Pojilla vastaavaa eroa ei havaittu. Koettu fyysinen p\u00e4tevyys laski kummallakin sukupuolella yl\u00e4kouluun siirrytt\u00e4ess\u00e4 ja pojat kokivat itsens\u00e4 fyysisesti p\u00e4tevimmiksi kummassakin ik\u00e4ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4. Tytt\u00f6jen koululiikunnan arvostuksessa ei tapahtunut muutosta viidennen ja seitsem\u00e4nnen luokan v\u00e4liss\u00e4. Poikien osalta yl\u00e4kouluun siirtyminen aiheutti liev\u00e4n laskun koululiikunnan arvostukseen.\n\nTutkimuksen johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 tulokset vahvistavat hyvin aikaisempia tutkimustuloksia. Department of Sport Sciences, University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Master\u2019s thesis, 103 pp. 1 appendix.\n\nThe purpose of this study was to investigate the primary-secondary transition and chances that causes to adolescents physical activity, perceived motivational climate, perceived physical competence and physical education motivation. The aim of the study was to analyze differences in grades five and seven as for selected variables. The inspection of the results was made also with the differences between girls and boys of the same age. The sample of LIITU study was used also in this thesis. The sample of LIITU study was collected in 2014, in connection with material collected for the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) Study. The sample was collected by using electronic questionnaire. The final sample consisted of 3071 pupils, including 916 fifth grade and 935 seventh grade pupils. About half of the schools participating in the HBSC Study took part in the LIITU study. The data was analyzed by using SPSS software.\n\nResults indicated that pupils\u2019 physical activity was at a lower level in the secondary school. The boys at grade five were more physically active than girls at the same age. There was no difference between seventh grade boys and girls in physical activity. Both fifth and seventh grade pupils felt the climate in PE lessons more task-oriented than self-oriented. Girls felt PE classes more task-oriented than boys. And boys felt PE classes more self-oriented than girls. Seventh grade girls felt the climate in PE lessons more self-oriented than fifth grade girls. Boys didn\u2019t report that kind of change. Secondary school pupils had a poorer sense of physical competence and perception than those in primary school. At both class levels, girls indicated a poorer sense of physical competence than boys. There was no difference between fifth and seventh grade girls in physical education motivation. Seventh grade boys valued physical education a bit lower than fifth grade boys.\n\nConclusion of this study was that the results were similar to former study results. Because the task-oriented motivational climate and perceived physical competence have a positive, statistically significant relationship with pupils\u2019 physical activity.
