Tunnistamalla internetmainosten tungettelevuuteen vaikuttavat tekijät, pystytään toteuttamaan vähemmän tungettelevia mainoksia. Tässä tutkielmassa keskitytään ensisijaisesti YouTuben TrueView pre-roll -mainosten tungettelevuuteen vaikuttaviin tekijöihin ja tungettelevuuden seu-rauksiin. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan myös banneri- ja pop-up -mainosten tun-gettelevuutta, minkä avulla pyritään antamaan laajempi kuva internetmainos-ten tungettelevuuden ilmiöstä. Tutkielma on suoritettu kirjallisuuskatsauksena. Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa käydään yksityiskohtaisesti läpi eri tungettelevuuteen vaikuttavia elementtejä ja niiden luokkia. Tutkielman keskeisin tulos oli, että tungettelevuuden ilmiö on monimutkainen ja siihen vaikuttavat monet tekijät. Tärkeä havainto oli myös, että tungettelevuudella voi olla useita eri seurauksia. Internet advertisements are considered mainly intrusive because they interrupt or disrupt the current browsing activity. Usually the consequences of ad intru-siveness are feelings of irritation and ad avoidance. One of the internet advertising formats that is especially becoming more common is video advertising which is why video ad intrusiveness should be minded. When recognizing the factors affecting ad intrusiveness it is possible to produce advertisements that are less intrusive. This thesis focuses primarily on the factors affecting YouTube’s TrueView pre-roll ad intrusiveness and the consequences of intrusiveness. Intrusiveness of banner and pop-up ads is also discussed in this thesis to create a bigger pic-ture of this phenomenon of internet ad intrusiveness. The research was execut-ed as a literature review. In this literature review the different elements of ad intrusiveness and their types are discussed in detail. The most important find-ing of this research was that the phenomenon of ad intrusiveness is very com-plex and it includes several affecting factors. Another important result was that ad intrusiveness can have many consequences.
