Vertasin laskennallisia sidosenergioita ja näiden virheitä niin toisiinsa kuin kokeellisesti määritettyihin arvoihin. Lisäksi tutkin, mitkä käytettyjen mallien parametreista ovat eniten vastuussa tilastollisesta virheestä ja miten paljon laskennalliset fissioisomeerien viritysenergiat eroavat kokeellisesti mitatuista arvoista. Parametrisaatioiden antamat ennusteet ytimien sidosenergioille ovat samankaltaisia kokeellisten tulosten kanssa, mutta vain osa tuloksista virherajat mukaan lukien ovat kokeellisten tulosten kanssa yhtenevät. Tilastolliset virheet vaihtelevat välillä 0,3-1,4 MeV tutkitusta ytimestä ja parametrisaatiosta riippuen. Havaitsin UNEDF0-parametrisaation antavan parempia tuloksia kevyimmillä tutkituilla ytimillä, kun taas keskiraskailla ja raskailla tutkituilla ytimillä UNEDF1- ja UNEDF2-parametrisaatiot antavat paremmat arviot. Jokaisen UNEDF-parametrisaation tilastollinen virhe kasvaa nopeasti massaluvun funktiona neutronirikkaissa ytimissä. Tämä tarkoittaa sitä, että mitä neutronirikkaammille ytimille annettaan sidosenergiaennusteita, sitä suurempi on näiden ennusteiden epävarmuus. Parametrisaatioiden kesken on paljon yhteisiä tekijöitä eniten virhettä kerryttävien parametrien joukoissa. Malliparametri C_0^ρ∆ρ on merkittävästi vastuussa virheestä jokaisen UNEDF-parametrisaation antamissa ennusteissa. Lisäksi symmetriaenergian tiheysriippuvuus ja symmetriaenergiakerroin ovat paljon vastuussa virheestä UNEDF0- ja UNEDF1-parametrisaatioissa, ja efektiivisen massan käänteisluku on kahden uudemman parametrisaation yhteinen merkitsevä virheenmuodostaja. The goal of this Master’s Thesis was to investigate theoretical nuclear binding energies and their statistical errors predicted by UNEDF0, UNEDF1, and UNEDF2 parameterizations by using the computer code HFBTHO. I used the standard deviation as a statistical error. I studied the even-even nuclei of Gd (A=130-180) and Dy (140-182), together with the fission isomers in U-226, U-238, Pu-240 and Cm-242 which were also used in optimization of UNEDF1 and UNEDF2 parameterizations. I compared the calculated binding energies and errors with each other and with the experimental ones. In addition to that, I studied which of the used parameters yield the largest contribution to the statistical error and how much the calculated excitation energies of the fission isomers differ from the experimentally measured values. The predictions for the nuclear binding energies given by these parameterizations are similar to the experimental results. However, even with the statistical uncertainty bar included, only few of these results coincided with the experimental ones. The statistical error varies between 0.3 and 1.4 MeV depending on a considered nucleus and parameterization. I obseved that UNEDF0 gives better results for the binding energies of lighter nuclei whereas UNEDF1 and UNEDF2 parameterizations give more exact values for heavier nuclei when comparing results with the experimental data. The statistical error of every UNEDF parametrization grows quickly as a function of mass number in neutron rich nuclei. This means that when giving predictions for the binding energies, the more neutron rich nuclei are studied, the larger errors are. There are many common and significant parametres between UNEDF parametrizations which contribute to statistical error. The parameter C_0^ρ∆ρ has large impact on the error of every UNEDF parameterization. In addition, the density dependence of the symmetry energy and the symmetry energy coefficient contribute considerably to the total error budget of UNEDF0 and UNEDF1 parameterizations, and the inverse of the isoscalar effective mass is the common significant contributor to the statistical error of theoretical binding energies of two later parameterizations.
