Lis\u00e4ksi tarkoituksenamme\r\noli tutkia ja vertailla sairauden tai vamman ilmoittaneiden oppilaiden sek\u00e4 muiden\r\noppilaiden suhtautumista koulunk\u00e4ynti\u00e4 ja koululiikuntaa kohtaan, koululiikunnan kiinnostavuutta,\r\nsek\u00e4 mieluisia ja ik\u00e4vi\u00e4 asioita koululiikunnassa.\r\nTutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytetty aineisto on per\u00e4isin Opetushallituksen teett\u00e4m\u00e4st\u00e4 liikunnan oppimistulosten\r\nseuranta-arvioinnista vuodelta 2010 (Palom\u00e4ki & Heikinaro-Johansson 2011). Tutkimuksen\r\nperusjoukkona olivat kaikki suomalaiset peruskoulun yhdeks\u00e4sluokkalaiset oppilaat.\r\nTutkimukseen osallistui 51 koulua, ja n\u00e4ist\u00e4 kouluista yhteens\u00e4 1619 yhdeks\u00e4nnen luokan\r\noppilasta 819 poikaa ja 800 tytt\u00f6\u00e4. T\u00e4st\u00e4 joukosta sairauden tai vamman ilmoittaneita\r\npoikia oli 80 ja tytt\u00f6j\u00e4 107.\r\nTutkimukseen vastanneista 11,7 % ilmoitti jonkin sairauden tai vamman. Yhdeks\u00e4st\u00e4 sairausluokasta\r\nyleisimm\u00e4ksi sairaudeksi osoittautui tuki- ja liikuntaelinsairaudet, joita oli yhteens\u00e4\r\n6,1 %:lla kaikista tutkimukseen osallistuneista oppilaista. Toiseksi yleisin sairausluokka oli\r\nastma tai rasitusastma ja sen esiintyvyys oli 3,6 %.\r\nNiist\u00e4 pojista, jotka ilmoittivat sairauden tai vamman suurempi osa kertoi koulunk\u00e4ynnin olevan\r\nvastenmielist\u00e4 verrattuna muihin poikiin. Yli 70 % kaikista tutkimukseen vastanneista\r\noppilaista piti koululiikunnasta ja vain alle kymmenen prosentin mielest\u00e4 se oli vastenmielist\u00e4.\r\nKuitenkin sairauden tai vamman ilmoittaneet pojat kokivat koululiikunnan vastenmielisemp\u00e4n\u00e4\r\nkuin heid\u00e4n ik\u00e4toverinsa.\r\nLiikuntatunnin lajisis\u00e4lt\u00f6 osoittautui sairauden ja vamman ilmoittaneiden poikien ja tytt\u00f6jen\r\nmielest\u00e4 mieluisimmaksi, mutta my\u00f6s ik\u00e4vimm\u00e4ksi asiaksi liikuntatunneilla. Seuraavaksi mieluisimmat\r\ntai ik\u00e4vimm\u00e4t asiat liikuntatunneilla liittyiv\u00e4t liikuntakokemuksiin ja toimintaan\r\nryhm\u00e4n kanssa. Sairauden tai vamman ilmoittaneet pojat pitiv\u00e4t monipuolisuutta tilastollisesti\r\nmerkitsev\u00e4sti muita poikia mieluisempana asiana koululiikunnassa. Sairauden tai vamman\r\nilmoittaneet oppilaat mainitsivat opettajan useammin ik\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4 tekij\u00e4n\u00e4 koululiikunnassa kuin\r\nmuut oppilaat, lis\u00e4ksi sairauden tai vamman ilmoittaneet tyt\u00f6t mainitsivat ilmapiirin ja tapaturmat\r\nik\u00e4vin\u00e4 asioina koululiikunnassa useammin kuin muut tyt\u00f6t. Koska osa koululiikunnan\r\nkielteisist\u00e4 kokemuksista liittyi oppilaiden ilmoittamaan sairauteen tai vammaan, pakottamisen\r\nja kehottamisen ilmapiiriin tunneilla sek\u00e4 oppilaiden kokemaan syrjimiseen ja arvosteluun\r\ntunneilla, tulisi opettajien ottaa huomioon, miten sairaus tai vamma vaikuttaa oppilaan liikuntatunnille\r\nosallistumiseen ja siell\u00e4 syntyneisiin kokemuksiin. Positiivisten liikuntakokemusten\r\nsaamiseksi opettajan ja oppilaan v\u00e4lill\u00e4 tulisi olla toimiva vuorovaikutussuhde ja opettajan\r\ntulisi eriytt\u00e4\u00e4 opetusta vastaamaan erilaisten oppilaiden tarpeita.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The purpose of this research was to find out what diseases and disabilities hindering physical\r\nactivity ninth grade students of mainstream education have. In addition, the purpose of the\r\nstudy was to examine and compare the attitudes of students who told about a disease or disability,\r\ntogether with other students, towards school and physical education, interest towards\r\nphysical education, as well as the positive and negative sides of physical education.\r\nThe data of this research comes from a follow-up evaluation of physical education learning\r\noutcomes, commissioned by the National Board of Educations, 2010 (Palom\u00e4ki & HeikinaroJohansson\r\n2011). All of the ninth grade students of comprehensive school were the base of\r\nthis data. There were 51 schools that participated in the survey, with a total of 1619 ninth\r\ngrade students: 819 boys and 800 girls. Out of these students, 80 boys and 107 girls told about\r\ntheir diseases or disabilities, all of them approximately in the age of 15 years.\r\nIn the survey, 11,7% of the students told about their diseases or disabilities. Out of the nine\r\ncategories of diseases, the most common was the category of musculoskeletal disorders and\r\ndiseases, which 6,1% of the students that participated in the survey reported. The second most\r\ncommon category of disease was asthma or exercise-induced asthma, that 3,6% reported.\r\nThe boys that told about having a disease or disability, disliked school more than the other\r\nboys. Over 70% of the students found physical education enjoyable or very enjoyable and\r\nonly less than 10 % of the students did not like it at all. The boys with diseases or disabilities\r\ndisliked physical education more than other boys their age.\r\nBoth boys and girls found sports to be the most enjoyable and at the same time the most disliked\r\nthing in physical education. The second most enjoyable things in physical education\r\nwere positive experiences and social togetherness. In turn, the second most disliked things\r\nwere negative experiences and problems inside the group. Amongst the boys with diseases or\r\ndisabilities, the variety of physical education was found significantly more enjoyable than\r\namongst the rest of the boys. Teachers were mentioned as a negative factor more often\r\namongst the students with diseases or disabilities than those without. The atmosphere in the\r\nclass and accidents were mentioned as negative aspects more often amongst girls with diseases\r\nor disabilities than those without. The negative experiences of physical education that students\r\nwith diseases or disabilities reported had to do with forcing, discrimination and evaluation\r\nduring physical education classes. This proves that teachers should strongly consider the\r\neffects of students\u2019 diseases and disabilities on experiences and attendance of physical education\r\nclasses. In order to give students positive experiences in physical education, functional\r\ninteraction between teachers and students is very important.
