Ammattikorkeakoulu-uudistuksen yhteydess\u00e4 todettiin, ett\u00e4 kuntoutusalojen osaamista tulisi pohtia tarkemmin, jotta osaaminen aloilla olisi riitt\u00e4v\u00e4n vahvaa tulevaisuudessa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 fysioterapia-ammatin edustajien n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 fysioterapian ydinosaamisesta sek\u00e4 tarkastella kansallisten fysioterapiaopetussuunnitelmien moninaisuutta. Tutkimuskysymykset olivat: Mit\u00e4 erilaista ja yhten\u00e4ist\u00e4 kansallisissa fysioterapian opetussuunnitelmissa on ja mik\u00e4 on fysioterapia-ammatin erikoisosaamista? Tutkimusteht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 l\u00e4hestyttiin laadullisin menetelmin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nerittely\u00e4 ja sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi\u00e4 tutkimusmenetelmin\u00e4. \r\nTutkimuksen aineisto oli kaksiosainen ja koostui kansallisista fysioterapian opetussuunnitelmista ja moniammatillisista ryhm\u00e4teemahaastatteluista. Opetussuunnitelmat (n=16) ker\u00e4ttiin verkkopohjaisina oppilaitosten kotisivuilta. Haastattelut (n=8) tehtiin kahdeksassa ammattikorkeakoulussa moniammatillisina ryhm\u00e4teemahaastatteluina. Aineistoa ker\u00e4ttiin my\u00f6s \u201dKuntoutuksen koulutuksen p\u00e4ivill\u00e4\u201d fysioterapian ryhm\u00e4ty\u00f6skentelypajoissa. Haastatteluihin osallistui eri kuntoutusalojen edustajia (fysioterapia, toimintaterapia, jalkaterapia, naprapatia, osteopatia, kuntoutusohjaus ja apuv\u00e4linetekniikka). Fysioterapian edustajat olivat ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4 olevia fysioterapeutteja, fysioterapiaopiskelijoita ja fysioterapiaopettajia. Haastatteluihin osallistui yhteens\u00e4 83 fysioterapian edustajaa. Koko aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin syys-joulukuun 2014 aikana.\r\nOpetussuunnitelmien vertailussa l\u00f6ydettiin eroja fysioterapiakoulutuksen toteutumisessa. Rakenteelliset erot n\u00e4kyiv\u00e4t opintopisteiden jakautumisessa perus-, ammatti ja valinnaistenopintojen kesken, yleisten-, ammattispesifien ja oppilaitoskohtaisten kompetenssien k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 sek\u00e4 moduulien ja vuositeemojen k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4. Erot kliinisess\u00e4 harjoittelussa n\u00e4kyiv\u00e4t harjoittelun toteutumisessa, harjoittelun m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4ss\u00e4 ja jaksoituksessa. Kansainv\u00e4lisyytt\u00e4, moniammatillisuutta ja yritt\u00e4jyytt\u00e4 korostettiin tietyiss\u00e4 opetussuunnitelmissa enemm\u00e4n kuin muissa. Sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin tuloksena fysioterapian ydinosaamisen osalta nousi esiin kolme teemaa, jotka kuvailevat fysioterapeutille t\u00e4rkeit\u00e4 taitoja: fysioterapeutin substanssiosaaminen, fysioterapeutin ohjausosaaminen ja fysioterapeutin asiantuntijuus moniammatillisessa ty\u00f6ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4. Department of Health sciences, Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 University, Master\u2019s Thesis in Physiotherapy, 74 pages, 7 appendices.\r\nIn Finland the education in social-, health- and rehabilitation is broad and takes place at Universities of Applied Sciences. During the reform of Universities of Applied Sciences it was found that there is a need to investigate the competencies and skills in the rehabilitation education programs, to ensure a sufficient knowledge-base for each occupation in the future. The objecitve of this study was to better understand physiotherapists\u2019 own views of the required core competencies in their profession, and to compare national physiotherapy curriculums with each other. The research questions were: What are the similarities and what are the differencies in the national physiotherapy curriculas? What do physiotherapists see as core competencies in physiotherapy? The research questions were approached with qualitative methods, using content analysis. \r\nThe data was divided into two parts and consists of national physiotherapy curriculas and multi-professional group theme interviews. The curriculas (n=16) were collected as web-based files from the Universities\u2019 of Applied Sciences homepages. The interviews (n=8) were conducted at eight different Universitys of Applied Sciences, as multi-professional theme group interviews and during \u201cEducation in rehabilitation days\u201d. All data was collected during september-december 2014. The participants were representatives from different education programs in rehabilitation (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, naprapathy, osteopathy, rehabilitation instructor and assistive techonology). The physiotherapy representatives were final year physiotherapy students, physiotherapy teachers and physiotherapists from the field. Eightythree physiotherapists participated in the interviews. Differences were found in how the physiotherapy education is executed. Structural differencies were seen in how the credentials are divided among common-, subjectspecific and voluntary studies and in the use of common-, subject- and institutionspesific competencies in the education. Differencies in clinical training were seen in how the clinical training takes place, how much there is clinical training in the education and how it is divided during the education. Internationality, multi-professionality and entrepreneurship were emphazised in some more than in other education programs. From the interview analysis three main themes emerged about the core competencies and skills required in physiotherapy: competencies in physiotherapy substance, competencies in the physiotherapists teaching and directing and physiotherapy expertise in a multi-professional environment.
