Pienryhm\u00e4\u00e4n kuului\r\nseitsem\u00e4n (7) lasta ja sen toiminta perustui sovellettuun sosiodraamaan.\r\nSosioemotionaalisten taitojen alueelta tarkasteltaviksi taidoiksi m\u00e4\u00e4rittyiv\u00e4t\r\nlasten kehitystarpeiden mukaan itses\u00e4\u00e4tely, tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4tely, omien tunteiden\r\ntunnistaminen sek\u00e4 empatiataito. Lis\u00e4ksi selvitimme siirtyv\u00e4tk\u00f6 ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4\r\nopitut taidot ryhm\u00e4n ulkopuolelle kouluymp\u00e4rist\u00f6\u00f6n ja miksi ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n\r\nosallistuneet lapset hy\u00f6tyiv\u00e4t ryhm\u00e4n toiminnasta eri tavoin.\r\nTutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena tapaustutkimuksena, joka sis\u00e4lsi\r\ntoimintatutkimuksen piirteit\u00e4. Osallistuimme pienryhm\u00e4\u00e4n apuohjaajina\r\nsamanaikaisesti havainnoiden lasten toimintaa. Ker\u00e4simme tutkimusaineiston\r\nhaastattelemalla ryhm\u00e4n ohjaajaa jokaisen kokoontumiskerran j\u00e4lkeen ja koko\r\nprojektin loputtua sek\u00e4 toimintaan osallistuneiden lasten luokanopettajia\r\nprojektin j\u00e4lkeen. Analysoimme litteroidun aineiston sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin keinoin\r\nja tyypittelimme lasten prosessit nelj\u00e4ksi prosessityypiksi, joita ovat\r\n\u201dedistynyt\u201d (1 lapsi), \u201daaltoileva\u201d (3 lasta), \u201dkeskener\u00e4inen\u201d (2 lasta) sek\u00e4\r\n\u201dedistym\u00e4t\u00f6n\u201d (1 lapsi) prosessi.\r\nTutkimustulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 lasten kehitys ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 oli hyvin\r\nvaihtelevaa. L\u00e4hes kaikilla lapsilla oli havaittavissa sosioemotionaalisten\r\ntaitojen oppimista pienryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 ja joillakin lapsista n\u00e4m\u00e4 my\u00f6nteiset\r\nmuutokset n\u00e4kyiv\u00e4t luokanopettajien mukaan my\u00f6s luokkatilanteissa ja\r\nv\u00e4litunneilla. Tulokset osoittivat kuitenkin, ett\u00e4 toiminnasta hy\u00f6tyminen\r\nedellytt\u00e4\u00e4 kohtuullista sosioemotionaalisten taitojen l\u00e4ht\u00f6tasoa. Ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4\r\nainoa \u201dedistym\u00e4tt\u00f6m\u00e4n\u201d prosessityypin lapsi tuli ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n\r\nsosioemotionaalisten taitojen kannalta kaikkein hankalimmasta l\u00e4ht\u00f6kohdasta.\r\nEritasoiseen hy\u00f6tymiseen vaikuttivat heid\u00e4n l\u00e4ht\u00f6tilanteensa ohella ryhm\u00e4n\r\nmuut lapset, heid\u00e4n kykyns\u00e4 luottaa aikuiseen sek\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 saadut\r\npositiiviset kokemukset.\r\nTutkimustuloksiamme on haastavaa yleist\u00e4\u00e4, sill\u00e4 jo t\u00e4m\u00e4n pienen\r\nryhm\u00e4n kohdalla huomasimme lasten kehityksen olevan hyvin yksil\u00f6llist\u00e4.\r\nLis\u00e4ksi lasten kehitykseen vaikuttavat monet niin ulkoiset kuin sis\u00e4isetkin\r\nseikat, kuten kotitausta, temperamentti ja sosiaaliset suhteet.
