Terveystieteiden laitos, Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopisto, terveyskasvatuksen pro gradu-tutkielma, 67 s., 3 liitett\u00e4. \r\n\r\nTutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tuottaa uutta tietoa ryhm\u00e4toiminnan vuorovaikutuksellisesta prosessista perhevapaalta ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n palaavilla henkil\u00f6ill\u00e4. Tavoitteena oli tutkia, millaisia puhetapoja ryhm\u00e4tapaamisen aikana ilmeni sek\u00e4 miten puhetavat heijastavat vallitsevaa yhteiskuntaa ja kulttuuria. Tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, mink\u00e4laisia identiteettej\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4tapaamisen aikana rakentuu ryhm\u00e4l\u00e4isille. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli l\u00f6yt\u00e4\u00e4 keinoja, joilla mahdollisesti helpotettaisiin \u00e4itien ty\u00f6h\u00f6n paluuta perhevapaan j\u00e4lkeen.\r\n\r\nAineisto ker\u00e4ttiin syksyll\u00e4 2013 Ty\u00f6terveyslaitoksen Perhevapaalta ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n -hankkeen yhdelt\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4tapaamiskerralta. Ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n osallistui kahdeksan ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n palaavaa \u00e4iti\u00e4 sek\u00e4 kaksi ryhm\u00e4ohjaajaa, jotka ohjasivat ryhm\u00e4tapaamista. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin videoimalla nelj\u00e4n tunnin ryhm\u00e4tapaaminen. Aineisto analysoitiin diskurssianalyysill\u00e4: ensiksi aineisto teemoiteltiin ja sen j\u00e4lkeen teemakohtaisesti tunnistettiin ja ryhmiteltiin aineistossa esiintyvi\u00e4 diskursiivisia elementtej\u00e4, joiden pohjalta muodostettiin vallitsevat puhetavat. \r\n\r\nAineistossa esiintyi ennakointipuhetta, arvopuhetta, taitopuhetta, ep\u00e4varmuus- ja hallintakeinopuhetta sek\u00e4 suunnitelmallisuuspuhetta. Ty\u00f6h\u00f6n paluu her\u00e4tti \u00e4ideiss\u00e4 ep\u00e4varmuutta. Ep\u00e4varmuutta aiheuttivat ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4taitojen ruostuminen perhevapaan aikana, ty\u00f6organisaatiossa tapahtuneet muutokset sek\u00e4 omien arvojen ja asenteiden muutos ty\u00f6t\u00e4 kohtaan. Ty\u00f6h\u00f6n paluu edellytti \u00e4ideilt\u00e4 taitojen p\u00e4ivitt\u00e4mist\u00e4, suunnitelmallisuutta, aktiivisuutta ja sopeutumista. Ep\u00e4varmuuden hyv\u00e4ksyminen toimi my\u00f6s hallintakeinona. Ty\u00f6paikan sitoutumattomuus her\u00e4tti \u00e4ideiss\u00e4 ep\u00e4varmuutta. T\u00e4m\u00e4 puolestaan vaikutti \u00e4itien muuttuneisiin asenteisiin ty\u00f6t\u00e4 kohtaan. Ty\u00f6h\u00f6n paluu her\u00e4tti \u00e4ideiss\u00e4 rooliristiriitaa: ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n identiteettiin liitettiin ep\u00e4varmuus ja taitamattomuus, kun taas \u00e4idin identiteettiin liitettiin varmuus omasta osaamisesta. \u00c4idin rooli ja ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n rooli n\u00e4htiin toisistaan eroavina ja yhteensopimattomina. T\u00e4m\u00e4 her\u00e4tti ep\u00e4varmuutta: osaako henkil\u00f6 asettua ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n roolin kotona olon j\u00e4lkeen. Yhdess\u00e4 tekeminen n\u00e4htiin ratkaisuna helpottaa ty\u00f6h\u00f6n paluuta perhevapaan j\u00e4lkeen. \r\n\r\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen perusteella voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6- ja perhe-el\u00e4m\u00e4n yhteensovittamiseen tulisi kiinnitt\u00e4\u00e4 nykyist\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n huomiota. Tutkimus antaa tietoa siit\u00e4, miten \u00e4idit kokevat ty\u00f6h\u00f6n paluun ja mitk\u00e4 asiat her\u00e4tt\u00e4v\u00e4t \u00e4ideiss\u00e4 ep\u00e4varmuutta. Ty\u00f6paikkojen tulisi panostaa perhevapaaj\u00e4rjestelyihin ja tukea ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden sitoutumista ty\u00f6paikkaan my\u00f6s perhevapaan aikana. From the middle of napkins back to work. Visions of mothers returning to work after paternity leave. Department of Healt Sciences, University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Master\u2019s thesis, 67 pp, 3 appendices.\r\n\r\nBackground of the study was to produce new information about interactive process of group work with people returning from family leave. Target was to find out which kinds of discourses group members used and how those reflected the current society and culture. Target was to discover what kind of identities participants build for themselves during the meeting. In addition, target of the study was to find ways to ease the difficulties of mothers returning to work after family leave.\r\n\r\nMaterials were collected during the fall 2013 from one of the group meetings of Peer group support for parents returning to work after family leave -project, organized by Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. Group consisted of eight mothers returning to work during the following year and of two group leaders who lead the meeting. The data was collected by videotaping four hours of the meeting. The data was analyzed using discourse analysis. First the data was divided in themes and then theme by theme discursive elements were recognized and grouped. Dominant discourses were formed based on these groups.\r\n \r\nThe data included discourses from the following points of views: anticipation, values, abilities, uncertainties, managing and planning. Returning to work caused uncertainty among the mothers. Reasons for the uncertainty were decreased working skills, changes in the work organization and changes of own attitudes towards the work. Returning to the work demanded updating the skills, proper planning, being active and adapting to the new situation. Approval of the uncertainty worked also as managing factor. Uncommitment of the job also increased the uncertainty of mothers, which then affected the changing attitudes towards the work. Returning to the work aroused conflicts in roles: uncertainty and ineptitude were attached to employee\u2019s identity, but the same time certainty of own know-how was attached to mother\u2019s identity. Mother\u2019s and employee\u2019s roles were seen together inappropriate and incompatible. That caused uncertainty. Could the person jump in the role of employee after the family leave. Working together was seen as a solution to help in returning to the work.\r\n\r\nThis study concludes that balancing the work and family life should be paid more attention to. The study provides information about how mothers experience the return to work and which things increases the uncertainty among them. Employers should invest more in to family leave arrangements and support the engagement to work place even during the family leave. In the group discussions, participants created management tools to help combining the work and family.
