Valmistimme useita n\u00e4ytteit\u00e4 erilaisia mittauksia varten ja testataksemme eri valmistusmenetelmi\u00e4.\n\nValmistetun ohutkalvon merkitt\u00e4vimm\u00e4t ominaisuudet ovat l\u00e4pin\u00e4kyvyys ja hyv\u00e4 s\u00e4hk\u00f6njohtavuus. Valmistetut kalvot olivat p\u00e4\u00e4asiassa l\u00e4pin\u00e4kyvi\u00e4, mik\u00e4 edellytti kalvon ohuutta. Itse materiaali toimitettiin vesiliuoksena, jossa oli 1:1 hiilinanoputkia ja hemiselluloosaa. Kalvot valmistettiin joko spinnaamalla tai kuivattamalla yksitt\u00e4isi\u00e4 pisaroita pinnalle. N\u00e4ytteet valmistettiin pintaoksidioidulle piille, johon oli tehty kultaelektrodit.\n\nKalvoa kuvattiin optisella-, atomivoima- ja elektronitransmissio mikroskoopeilla. Optinen kuvantaminen osoitti kalvon ep\u00e4tasaisuuden. Atomivoimamikroskoopilla saatiin kuva kalvon kuitumaisesta hienorakenteesta, sek\u00e4 pystyttiin m\u00e4\u00e4ritt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n kalvon paksuus. Rakenteessa havaittiin hiilinanoputkista muodostuvia renkaita, joita p\u00e4\u00e4tettiin kuvata tarkemmin elektronitransmissiomikroskoopilla. N\u00e4iss\u00e4 kuvissa n\u00e4htiin renkaiden k\u00e4\u00e4mi\u00e4 muistuttava rakenne.\n\nS\u00e4hk\u00f6njohtavuusmittauksia tehtiin useita ja niiss\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin nelipistemittausta. Ensimm\u00e4isen\u00e4 mitattiin luonnollisesti johtavuus huoneilmassa, mist\u00e4 siirryttiin matalan l\u00e4mp\u00f6tilan mittauksiin. N\u00e4ytteet j\u00e4\u00e4hdytettiin noin 4,2~K:iin, mink\u00e4 aikana niiden johtavuuden havaittiin heikkenev\u00e4n ensin hyvin hitaasti ja lopuksi, kymmenien kelvinien l\u00e4mp\u00f6tilassa, nopeammin. Matalassa l\u00e4mp\u00f6tilassa virran ja j\u00e4nnitteen suhteen havaittiin muuttuvan ep\u00e4lineaariseksi. Transistoriominaisuuksia testattiin my\u00f6s 4,2 K:ssa, mutta niit\u00e4 ei havaittu. J\u00e4\u00e4hdytyksen aikana ker\u00e4tyn datan havaittiin noudattavan p\u00e4\u00e4asiassa VRH-mallia (variable range hopping), joka on er\u00e4s tapa kuvata s\u00e4hk\u00f6njohtavuuden l\u00e4mp\u00f6tilariippuvuutta ep\u00e4s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6llisen hilan materiaaleissa.\n\nKalvon s\u00e4hk\u00f6njohtokyky\u00e4 testattiin my\u00f6s muissa olosuhteissa. Ilman kosteuden huomattiin heikent\u00e4v\u00e4n kalvon johtavuutta selke\u00e4sti noin 50 % :n suhteellisen kosteuden yl\u00e4puolella ja johtavuus palautui ennalleen eritt\u00e4in hitaasti.
