Erityisesti laji on\r\nher\u00e4tt\u00e4nyt kiinnostusta nuorten keskuudessa. Frisbeegolfin suosion kasvusta huolimatta ei\r\nsuomenkielist\u00e4 tutkimusta lajista ole aikaisemmin juurikaan tehty.\r\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 pro gradu -tutkielma k\u00e4sitt\u00e4\u00e4 kirjallisuuskatsauksen frisbeegolfin historiaan, s\u00e4\u00e4nt\u00f6ihin,\r\nvarusteisiin, kenttiin, ja tekniikoihin. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkimuksessa haastateltiin viitt\u00e4\r\nliikunnanopettajaa eri puolilta Suomea. Haastateltavaksi valittiin kolme miest\u00e4 ja kaksi naista.\r\nKaikilla haastatelluilla oli omakohtaisia kokemuksia frisbeegolfin opetuksesta. Saadut\r\nvastaukset litteroitiin, jonka j\u00e4lkeen ne analysoitiin grounded theory -menetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4. Grounded\r\ntheory on laadullisen aineiston analysointimenetelm\u00e4. T\u00e4h\u00e4n tutkimukseen grounded theory -\r\nmenetelm\u00e4 valittiin, koska aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin avoimella haastattelulla ja kyseess\u00e4 on v\u00e4h\u00e4n\r\ntutkittu aihe.\r\nKoululiikunnalla on t\u00e4rke\u00e4 rooli lasten ja nuorten liikunnassa ja liikuntatottumuksissa. Suomalaisessa\r\nkoululiikunnassa p\u00e4\u00e4paino on ollut pitk\u00e4\u00e4n joukkue- ja palloilulajeissa. Frisbeegolf\r\non aktivoinut sellaisia oppilaita, jotka eiv\u00e4t ole olleet kiinnostuneita joukkue- tai palloilulajeista.\r\nUsein innostus lajia kohtaan on syntynyt juuri koulun liikuntatunneilla. Kaikki haastateltavat\r\nkokivat frisbeegolfin monipuolistavan koulujen luonto- ja ulkoliikuntaopetusta. Frisbeegolfkent\u00e4t\r\nsijaitsevat vaihtelevissa maastoissa, usein mets\u00e4- ja puistoalueilla, joten frisbeegolf\r\non helppo lis\u00e4t\u00e4 osaksi koulujen ulko- ja luontoliikuntaa. Tutkimuksessa saatujen tulosten\r\nperusteella frisbeegolf on aktivoinut uutena lajina my\u00f6s niit\u00e4 oppilaita, jotka eiv\u00e4t harrasta\r\nvapaa-ajallaan lainkaan liikuntaa tai liikkuvat eritt\u00e4in v\u00e4h\u00e4n. Tulosten perusteella frisbeegolf\r\nsoveltuu osaksi liikunnan opetussuunnitelmaa, sill\u00e4 laji kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 motorisia, sosiaalisia ja kognitiivisia\r\ntaitoja. Oppilaiden fyysisen kunnon lis\u00e4\u00e4misess\u00e4 ei frisbeegolfilla koettu olevan\r\nsuurta merkityst\u00e4. Saatujen tulosten perusteella frisbeegolf kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 oppilaiden sosiaalisia taitoja,\r\nkuten ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 ty\u00f6skentely\u00e4 sek\u00e4 toisten huomioonottamista. Disc golf has raised\r\ninterest particularly among young people. Despite increasing popularity of disc golf there is\r\nno research material available in Finnish.\r\nThis master's thesis comprises of a literature review of disc golf\u2019s history, rules, equipment,\r\nfields, and techniques. In addition, in this study the researchers interviewed five physical\r\neducation teachers around Finland. Interviewees were three men and two women. All the\r\ninterviewees had personal experience in teaching disc golf. The responses received were\r\ntranscribed, after which they were analyzed by grounded theory method. Grounded theory is a\r\nqualitative data analysis method. Grounded theory method was chosen in this research\r\nbecause the data was collected in an open interview and disc golf is a little explored topic.\r\nPhysical education at school has an important role in children's and young people's physical\r\nactivity. In Finnish schools the main focus has been on team sports and ball games for a long\r\ntime. Disc golf has activated students who were not interested in team sports or ball sports.\r\nYoung people's interest in disc golf has normally started in schools. All of the interviewees\r\nfelt that disc golf diversifies school\u2019s nature and outdoor studies. Because disc golf fields are\r\nlocated in varying terrains, often in the forest and park areas, disc golf is easy to add as a part\r\nof school\u2019s outdoor studies. Based on the results obtained in this study, disc golf as a new\r\nsport has activated those students, who don\u2019t exercise at all or only a little on their free time.\r\nOn the basis of this research disc golf is suitable for physical activity as part of the\r\ncurriculum, because disc golf is developing motor, social and cognitive skills. However, the\r\nincrease in students\u00b4 physical fitness in disc golf is not perceived to be of great importance.\r\nOn the basis of this research disc golf develops students\u00b4 social skills such as team working\r\nskills.
