Liikuntakasvatuksen laitos, Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopisto, Liikun-tapedagogiikan pro gradu -tutkielma, 61s., 2 liitett\u00e4. \r\n\r\nTutkimuksemme tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t lis\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t tai v\u00e4hent\u00e4v\u00e4t kahdeksas-luokkalaisten tytt\u00f6jen halua osallistua koululiikunnan uintituntiin. Tavoitteemme oli my\u00f6s ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 oppilaita paremmin ja saada omaan opetusty\u00f6h\u00f6n uutta n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmaa oppilaiden uintimotivaation parantamiseksi. \r\n\r\nTy\u00f6mme toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena, koska halusimme kuulla nuorten kokemuksia, saada heid\u00e4n ajatuksensa esille ja n\u00e4in kuvata todellista el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4. Tutkimukseen osallistui 38 kahdeksannen luokan tytt\u00f6\u00e4. Tutkimusjoukoksi valikoituneet oppilaat kirjoittivat esseen omis-ta koulu-uintikokemuksistaan aiheesta: \u201dPohdi, mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t lis\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t tai v\u00e4hent\u00e4v\u00e4t haluasi osallistua koulun uintitunneille\u201d. \r\n\r\nAinekirjoituksista kertyi 50 sivua aineistoa. Aineisto analysoitiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isell\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n-analyysill\u00e4. Teemoittelun ja tyypittelyn keinoin aineisto koottiin johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6sten tekoa varten. Johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksi\u00e4 koeteltiin viel\u00e4 hermeneuttisen keh\u00e4n avulla.\r\n\r\nTulokset osoittivat koulun uintituntien ongelmakohtien olevan moniselitteiset. Tutkimukses-samme nousi esille kuusi uintitunnin motivaatioon vaikuttavaa tekij\u00e4\u00e4. N\u00e4m\u00e4 olivat k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6t, ulkon\u00e4k\u00f6, sosiaaliset suhteet, ep\u00e4mukavuustekij\u00e4t ja arviointi. Monet n\u00e4ist\u00e4 uintimotivaatioon yhteydess\u00e4 olevista tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 liittyiv\u00e4t murrosik\u00e4\u00e4n. My\u00f6s yhteiskunnan luomat paineet nuorten ulkon\u00e4\u00f6n suhteen vaikuttivat uintimotivaatioon negatiivisesti. Opettajilla on kuitenkin paljon mahdollisuuksia vaikuttaa oppilaiden motivaatioon. Department of Sport Sciences, University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Master\u00b4s thesis, 61 p., 2 appendicies. \r\n\r\nThe aim of our research was to detect which factors increase or decrease the girls\u2019 willingness to participate in school swimming classes. We chose this subject for the reason the girls of high school age participate in the physical education swimming lessons sadly a way too little and irregularly. In addition studies show swimming being one of the most unpleasant PE sport. Our research was carried out as a quality study of a selection of students who wrote an essay of their own swimming experiences in school. The results showed the challenges and problems areas of school swimming being ambiguous. The challenges are mainly the adolescence but also the society the youth is surrounded by with its pressures on the look, the group dynamics and the feeling of safety in a group, and the school rules. Teenagers don\u2019t feel comfortable showing their changing bodies off. The focus on what you look like nowadays resulting in having to put make-up on and do one\u2019s hair in a hurry do not help the situation.
