Ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 opiskelijoiden k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 tutkittavasta ilmi\u00f6st\u00e4 voidaan kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 opetussuunnitelmaa opiskelijal\u00e4ht\u00f6isesti. \nNeurologiset potilaat ovat olleet vuosikymmenien ajan yksi keskeisimmist\u00e4 fysioterapiaa saaneista asiakasryhmist\u00e4 ja v\u00e4est\u00f6n ik\u00e4\u00e4ntyess\u00e4 neurologisia sairauksia sairastavien m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyy edelleen. Neurologisen fysioterapian tietoperusta ja v\u00e4lineet ovat muuttuneet. Ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4 odottaa ammattikorkeakoulun tuottavan osaavia neurologisen fysioterapian asiantuntijoita, joilla on vankka tietoperusta ja hyv\u00e4t k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6n taidot. Millaisia k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 tutkittavasta ilmi\u00f6st\u00e4 valmistuvilla fysioterapeuttiopiskelijoilla on heid\u00e4n siirtyess\u00e4\u00e4n ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n? Mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t edist\u00e4v\u00e4t tai vaikeuttavat heid\u00e4n oppimistaan? Tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytettiin fenomenografista l\u00e4hestymistapaa, jonka perustana on ajatus, ett\u00e4 maailma on kaikille sama, mutta se n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyy meille eri lailla. Tutkimuksessa oltiin kiinnostuneita opiskelijoiden mahdollisimman erilaisista tutkittavan ilmi\u00f6n k\u00e4sitysten variaatioista.\nAineisto ker\u00e4ttiin kahdesta suomalaisesta ammattikorkeakoulusta ryhm\u00e4haastatteluin. Kolmeen ryhm\u00e4haastatteluun osallistui 2-6 viimeisen tai toiseksi viimeisen lukukauden fysioterapeuttiopiskelijaa, yhteens\u00e4 14 opiskelijaa. Aineistosta neurologista fysioterapiaa koskevista k\u00e4sityksist\u00e4 nousi esille kuusi teemaa: neurologisen fysioterapian tiedon hallinta, kuntoutujan toiminnan arvioiminen, terapeuttinen harjoittelu, toimijuus fysioterapiassa, fysioterapian merkitys ja eettinen vastuullisuus. Teemojen variaation pohjalta muodostui viisi kategoriaa suppeammasta laajenevaan: tieto neurologisen fysioterapian perustana, neurologisen fysioterapian osaaminen, potilaan omatoimisuuden palauttaminen, neurologiseen sairauteen sopeutuminen ja monialainen kuntoutusyhteisty\u00f6. \nValmistuvien fysioterapeuttiopiskelijoiden k\u00e4sityksiss\u00e4 neurologisen fysioterapian oppimisesta nousi esille nelj\u00e4 teemaa, joiden vaihtelun pohjalta muodostui kolme kategoriaa. Esiin tulleet teemat olivat neurologisen fysioterapiatiedon luonne, taidon luonne, opettaja oppimisen ohjaajana ja toimijuus. Syntyneet kategoriat suppeammasta laajenevaan olivat: laajan neurologisen fysioterapiatiedon vastaanottaminen, soveltaminen ja valmiudet ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4 varten. \nOpetussuunnitelman kehitt\u00e4misen kannalta tutkimuksen tuloksia voidaan tarkastella siten, ett\u00e4 teemat kuvastavat tutkittavan ilmi\u00f6n eri ulottuvuuksia, joita opiskelijat laajentavat siirtyess\u00e4\u00e4n alemmasta kategoriasta seuraavaan. By understanding students` conceptions, the curriculum can be developed by considering students` perspective.\nNeurological patients have been one of the major groups for physiotherapy for decades. As the amount of old people increases, the amount of those with neurological diseases, increases further, too. The basis and the equipment of the neurological physiotherapy have changed. Employees expect that the universities of applied sciences produce professionals with strong knowledge and good skills. What are the physiotherapy students` conceptions of the neurological physiotherapy as they move into the working life? What makes their learning easier or more difficult? The phenomenographic approach was used, which assumes that the world is the same for all, but it appears in different ways for us. In this study the different conceptions of the phenomenon were in interest. \nGroup interviews were taken to collect the material from two Finnish universities of applied sciences. There were 2-6 physiotherapystudents in three interviewgroups, 14 students all togehther from the last or the second last season. Six themes arouse from the material of the physiotherapy students` conceptions of the neurological physiotherapy. Those were: The master of the neurological knowledge, the evaluation of the patient`s action, therapeutic exercise, actorness in the physiotherapy, the meaning of the physiotherapy and ethical responsibility. The variation of these themes produced five categories from the simple to the wider one: knowledge as the basis of the neurological physiotherapy, the knowhow of the neurological physiotherapy, the recovery of the functioning, the adaption to the neurological disease and the multidisciplinary rehabilitation.\nFour themes emerged from the students` conceptions of the learning of the neurological physiotherapy. The themes were: the nature of the knowledge of the neurological physiotherapy, the nature of the skill, teacher as a counsellor of the learning and actorness. Categories created from the variation of these themes from the simple one towards more complicated were: the reception of the large neurological knowledge, application and readiness for the working life. \nFor the development of the curriculum, the results can be examined so, that the themes reflect different dimensions of the phenomenon that students expand as they move from the lower category to the next one.
