Lis\u00e4ksi n\u00e4iden kolmen maan teknologiakasvatuksen asiantuntijoilta (N=10) saatuja vastauksia k\u00e4ytettiin selvitett\u00e4ess\u00e4, miten teknologista lukutaitoa tulisi kouluissa opettaa ja millaisia muutoksia kunkin maan teknologiakasvatuksen opetussuunnitelmassa, sek\u00e4 oppiaineen opettamisessa tarvitaan suhteessa tulevaisuuteen. Tutkimuksen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin kev\u00e4\u00e4n 2013 ja talven 2014 v\u00e4lisen\u00e4 aikana asiantuntijoille l\u00e4hetetyn verkkokyselylomakkeen avulla, sek\u00e4 kansallisiin opetussuunnitelmiin tutustuen.\nTeknologinen lukutaito muodostuu tutkimuksen mukaan nelj\u00e4st\u00e4 perustekij\u00e4st\u00e4, jotka ovat teknologiseen ymm\u00e4rrykseen liittyv\u00e4t (1.) kyky tunnistaa ja ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 teknologiaa, sek\u00e4 (2.) kyky tarkastella teknologiaa inhimillisesti, sosiaalisesti ja eettisesti. Teknologiseen toimintaan liitettiin (3.) kyky toteuttaa teknologinen prosessi ja kommunikoida siit\u00e4, sek\u00e4 (4.) kyky havaita ja ratkaista teknologisia ongelmia. T\u00e4rkein havainto oli, ett\u00e4 kaikki nelj\u00e4 perustekij\u00e4\u00e4 ilmenev\u00e4t kunkin maan teknologiakasvatuksen opetussuunnitelmissa, mutta perustekij\u00f6iden painotukset vaihtelevat huomattavasti. Ongelmanratkaisuun liittyv\u00e4 perustekij\u00e4 4. oli kaikissa tutkimuksen kohteena olleissa opetussuunnitelmassa kaikista huonoimmin edustettu. Teknologista lukutaitoa tulisi asiantuntijoiden mukaan opettaa pyrkien kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n oppilaiden teknologista ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 ja siten, ett\u00e4 opetus on toiminnallista ja perustuu ongelmanratkaisuun.
