Eri-ik\u00e4isyyden ja erilaisuuden huomioiminen vaativat henkil\u00f6st\u00f6johtamiselta, esimiehilt\u00e4 ja alaisilta alan ominaisuuspiirteiden huomioimista.\r\nTutkimuksessa oli tarkoitus kartoittaa ict-palveluyksik\u00f6n ajatuksia ict-alan ty\u00f6n merkityksest\u00e4, ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 kehittymist\u00e4 ja jaksamisesta. Lis\u00e4ksi pyrittiin hahmottamaan, mi-ten ik\u00e4johtaminen, eri-ik\u00e4isyys ja erilaisuus koetaan ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6ss\u00e4. Ict-alaa tarkasteltiin my\u00f6s ty\u00f6llisyyden, organisaatiomuutosten ja tulevaisuuden kannalta. Tutkimukseen osallistui 4 esimiest\u00e4, 6 alaista ja HR:n edustaja. Haastateltavat olivat eri-ik\u00e4isi\u00e4, erilaisilla koulutustaustoilla ja ty\u00f6kokemuksilla olevia miehi\u00e4 ja naisia. Laadullisen tutkimuksen empiirinen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin teemahaastatteluna.\r\nIct-ty\u00f6uraan voidaan tutkimusten tulosten perusteella tulkita kuuluvan pitk\u00e4t ty\u00f6-suhteet ja ty\u00f6n vaihtamisen tulevan verkoston, yritysmuutosten tai talon sis\u00e4ll\u00e4 tarjottu-jen uusien teht\u00e4vien kautta. Henkil\u00f6st\u00f6n vaihtuvuus oli v\u00e4h\u00e4ist\u00e4 ja henkil\u00f6ill\u00e4 ei ollut varsinaisia urasuunnitelmia. Ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 kokemus, asenne ja persoona koettiin koulutusta t\u00e4rke\u00e4mmiksi tekij\u00f6iksi. Ty\u00f6t\u00e4 kuvasi vastuullisuus, haasteellisuus, itsen\u00e4isyys, tavoit-teellisuus ja sosiaalisuus. Oppimista ja kehittymist\u00e4 koettiin tulevan eniten itse ty\u00f6n kautta. Asiakaspalautteet ja teht\u00e4viss\u00e4 onnistumiset tuottivat eniten palkitsevuutta. Esi-miehilt\u00e4 toivottiin enemm\u00e4n rakentavaa palautetta ja aikaa henkil\u00f6st\u00f6johtamiseen. Ty\u00f6n ja vapaan raja ict-ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 koettiin h\u00e4ilyv\u00e4ksi. Kuormitus n\u00e4kyi v\u00e4symyksen\u00e4 ja ty\u00f6tehon laskuna. Palautumiskeinoja olivat hyvinvoinnista vastuunottaminen ja ty\u00f6m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n \u2013 ja ajan v\u00e4hent\u00e4minen. Eri-ik\u00e4isyys ja erilaisuus koettiin rikkaudeksi ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6ss\u00e4. Eri-ik\u00e4isten vahvuudet ja heikkoudet tunnistettiin, mit\u00e4 osattiin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 positiivisesti ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n hy\u00f6dyksi. Ik\u00e4\u00e4 ja kokemusta arvostettiin. Eri-arvoisuutta tuli v\u00e4h\u00e4n esille esimiesalis-suhteessa i\u00e4n, ammatillisen osaamisen tai persoonallisten ominaisuuksien osalta. Lis\u00e4ksi naiset ja nuoret tunnisti pieni\u00e4 haasteita osoittaa oma p\u00e4tevyys ja arvostus alalla.
