Etenkin innovatiivisuuteen kohdistuu yh\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n\npositiivisia odotuksia organisaatiossa, sill\u00e4 mik\u00e4\u00e4n yritys ei pitk\u00e4ll\u00e4 t\u00e4ht\u00e4imell\u00e4 menesty ilman\ninnovatiivisuutta.\nT\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin persoonallisuuden innovatiivisuuspiirteit\u00e4 ja niiden\nvaikutusta innovatiivisuuden ilmenemiseen kohdeyrityksess\u00e4. Teoreettinen viitekehys\nmuodostui yritt\u00e4jyyden prosessimallin ymp\u00e4rille, keskittyen teemoista erityisesti sis\u00e4iseen\nyritt\u00e4jyyteen ja innovatiivisuuteen.\nKyseess\u00e4 oli organisaatiotutkimus, jonka tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n\npersoonan innovatiivisuuspiirteet vaikuttavat innovatiivisuuden kokemiseen. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkittiin,\nkuinka kohdeyrityksen ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t kokevat innovatiivisuuden. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin my\u00f6s,\nmitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t est\u00e4v\u00e4t tai kannustavat innovatiivisuuteen ja miten sit\u00e4 voidaan\nkohdeorganisaatiossa edist\u00e4\u00e4.\nTutkimuksen empiirinen osa toteutettiin survey-kyselyn\u00e4 monikansallisen teknologiayhti\u00f6n\nTampereen toimipisteess\u00e4, jossa ty\u00f6skentelee noin 200 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4\u00e4 mobiililaitteiden\ntuotekehityksen parissa. Tutkimusaineisto analysoitiin kvantitatiivisia menetelmi\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en.\nTutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 mit\u00e4 innovatiivisempi henkil\u00f6 persoonallisuudenpiirteilt\u00e4\u00e4n on, sit\u00e4\nenemm\u00e4n h\u00e4n my\u00f6s arvostaa innovatiivisuutta ja kokee ty\u00f6skentelev\u00e4ns\u00e4 innovatiivisessa\nty\u00f6ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi persoonallisuudenpiirteilt\u00e4\u00e4n innovatiivisimmat henkil\u00f6t tuottavat\nty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n enemm\u00e4n uusia ideoita verrattuna v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n innovatiivisiin henkil\u00f6ihin. Toisaalta\nkaikkein innovatiivisimmat henkil\u00f6t kokevat, etteiv\u00e4t p\u00e4\u00e4se hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n ty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n omaa\ninnovatiivisuuttaan niin hyvin kuin piirteilt\u00e4\u00e4n v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n innovatiiviset henkil\u00f6t.\nT\u00e4rke\u00e4 havainto oli my\u00f6s se, ett\u00e4 persoonallisuudeltaan innovatiivisimmat henkil\u00f6t my\u00f6s\ntiedostavat itse olevansa innovatiivisia persoonallisuuspiirteilt\u00e4\u00e4n eli tunnistavat piirteen\nitsess\u00e4\u00e4n. My\u00f6s i\u00e4ll\u00e4, sukupuolella ja koulutustaustalla havaittiin olevan vaikutusta\ninnovatiivisuuden kokemiseen tai ilmenemiseen. There are high expectations especially towards\ninnovativeness as no company can succeed in the long run without being innovative.\nThis study analyzed the personality traits of innovativeness and the effect of those on the\ninnovativeness and its manifestation in a case study. The theoretical framework was formed\naround the process model of entrepreneurship, concentrating especially on intrapreneurship and\ninnovativeness.\nThis was an organization study for which the aim was to investigate how the\nemployees\u00b4personality traits affect innovativeness. Also, the study found out how the employees\nof the case company conceived innovativeness. One of the goals was also to investigate what are\nthe biggest obstacles and motivators of innovativeness and how it can be developed in a\ncorporate environment.\nThe empirical part of the study was done as a survey at the Tampere site of a multinational\ntechnology corporation. There are approximately 200 employees in the Tampere site working on\nthe research and development of mobile devices. The data was analyzed using quantitative\nmethods.\nThe study showed the more innovative a person is based on his or her personality traits, the\nmore he or she appreciates innovativeness and the higher the chance that he or she feels to be\nworking in an innovative work environment. Also, the persons having higher innovation\npotential based on their personality traits produce more new ideas in their work compared to\nthe less innovative persons. However, the most innovative individuals feel that they can\u00b4t use\ntheir own innovativeness at work as much as the less innovative individuals.\nAn important observation was also that the most innovative persons knew that they were\ninnovative which means that they recognized having that personality trait.
