Liikuntakasvatuksen laitos, Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopisto, liikuntapedagogiikan pro gradu -tutkielma, 79s., 2 liitett\u00e4. \n\nTutkimukseni tarkoitus on esitell\u00e4 nuorten liikunnanopettajien ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4kokemuksia ryh-m\u00e4ilmi\u00f6iden osalta. Ensinn\u00e4kin tutkimus esittelee opettajien ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4 kohtaamia ryh-m\u00e4ilmi\u00f6it\u00e4, joiden he kokevat vaikuttavan ryhm\u00e4n toimintaan. Toisekseen esittelen tutkimuk-sessa esille tulleita ryhm\u00e4n toimintaan vaikuttamisenkeinoja. Kolmanneksi tutkimukseni tuo esille opettajien n\u00e4kemyksen siit\u00e4, millaiset ryhm\u00e4n toimintaan vaikuttamisen valmiudet opet-tajat kokevat omaavansa ja mist\u00e4 he ovat valmiutensa saaneet.\n\nTutkimukseen osallistui 12 liikunnanopettajaa joiden ty\u00f6kokemus vaihteli 2-15 kuukauden v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Tutkimukseen osallistui kahdeksan naista ja nelj\u00e4 miest\u00e4. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin s\u00e4hk\u00f6pos-tikyselyll\u00e4. Kysely koostui kahdesta avoimesta kysymyksest\u00e4. Aineisto analysoitiin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n-analyysi\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en ja tutkimus pohjaa fenomenologis-hermeneuttiseen tieteenperinteeseen. Aineiston analysoinnissa k\u00e4ytin teoriasidonnaista analyysia eli abduktiivista p\u00e4\u00e4ttely\u00e4. Tulok-sissa esitell\u00e4\u00e4n aineistosta merkityksellisimpin\u00e4 esille nousseet tutkimusongelmiin vastanneet teemat. \n\nTuloksissa ryhm\u00e4n toimintaan vaikuttavina ryhm\u00e4ilmi\u00f6in\u00e4 esille tuli kolme eri teemaa; turval-linen ryhm\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4n toimivuuden perustana, ryhm\u00e4n johtohahmot ryhm\u00e4n toiminnan suuntaa-jina sek\u00e4 suurryhm\u00e4 ja sekaryhm\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4n toiminnan haastajina. Opettajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4min\u00e4 kei-noina ryhm\u00e4n toimintaan vaikuttamisessa esille nousivat; yhteiset s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6t ja kuri, ryhm\u00e4ytt\u00e4-minen, keskusteleminen ja opettajan oma toiminta. Tutkimuksen perusteella opettajista suurin osa koki ryhm\u00e4nhallintataitojensa olevan hyv\u00e4t tai neutraalit kahden todetessa ryhm\u00e4nhallin-tataitonsa huonoiksi. K\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6n kokemusten merkitys ryhm\u00e4n toimintaan vaikuttamisen taus-talla korostui. Opintojen merkityksen kokeminen vaihteli; osa koki opinnot hy\u00f6dyllisiksi ryhm\u00e4nhallintaitojen osalta, osa kaipaisi lis\u00e4opintoja aihealueelta.\n\nTutkimuksen avulla saatiin selville liikunnanopettajille merkitykselliset ryhm\u00e4n toimintaan vaikuttavat ryhm\u00e4ilmi\u00f6t ja niiden kohtaamisen keinot. Tulokset tukivat osin aiempia tuloksia. Suur- ja sekaryhm\u00e4t tulivat esille ryhm\u00e4n toimintaa vaikeuttavina tekij\u00f6in\u00e4. Opettajien nostama turvallisen ryhm\u00e4n merkitys tuki k\u00e4sityst\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4koheesion merkityksest\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4n toiminnalle. Opettajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4t keinot ryhm\u00e4n toiminnan hallitsemiselle tukivat teorian luomaa pohjaa ja aikaisempia tutkimustuloksia. Young PE-teachers work experiences about group\u2019s actions and influ-encing to that. Department of Sport Sciences, University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Master\u2019s thesis, 79pp., 2 appendicies. \n\nPurpose of my study was to introduce young PE teachers experiences from work over group phenomena. First of all study introduces the actual group phenomena that have influence on the functioning of a group. Second of all study introduces teachers ways of influencing to groups actions. Third of all study brings up teachers viewpoint of what kind of like abilities teachers have on influencing to groups actions. Study also introduces the sources where they have got their abilities from.\n\nTwelve PE teachers took part in the study. Their working experience varied between two to fifteen months. Eight women and four men were involved in the study. Data was collected using email enquiry. Email enquiry consisted of two open questions. Data was analyzed by using content analyzing technique. Study has it\u00b4s theoretical background in phenomenological-hermeneutic discipline. Data was analyzed by using abduktive reduction where data based knowledge and theoretical models overlap. \n\nResults of the study brought up that phenomena teachers feel have impact on groups actions are; safe group as a good base for group actions, leading figures as the directiors of groups actions and the big size and mixed-sex groups hindering groups actions. Teachers main ways of influencing to groups actions where rules and discipline, grouping exercises, discussions and teachers own actions. Most of teachers found their grouphandling skills good or neutral. Two of teachers found their grouphandling skills to be insufficient or bad. As resources of skills on grouphandling teachers highlighted the importance of practical experiences. Aca-demic studies were also discussed. Some felt that they had received important information from their studies. Part of teachers felt that academic studies were inadequate over the subject and yearned more education.\n\nStudy brought up the significant phenomena that PE teachers face at their work. It also brought up the means of encountering those phenomena. Results from these supported partly previous studies. Large and mixed-sex groups came across as crusial factors that complicate groups actions. Teachers brought up the meaning of a safe group which supported the sig-nifigance of group cohesion to groups actions. The ways that teachers used to control groups actions supported the previous studies and got background from theories.
