Liiallinen ja pitkittynyt fyysinen kuormittaminen taas johtaa\r\nylikuormitustilaan, josta seuraa suorituskyvyn laskeminen sek\u00e4 muita fyysisi\u00e4 ja psyykkisi\u00e4\r\noireita. T\u00e4m\u00e4n pro gradu -tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli m\u00e4\u00e4ritt\u00e4\u00e4 varusmiespalveluksen\r\nperuskoulutuskauden kuormittavuutta objektiivisill\u00e4 mittausmenetelmill\u00e4 aidoissa\r\nolosuhteissa.\r\nKahdeksan viikkoa kest\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4n tutkimukseen osallistui 34 vapaaehtoista miesalokasta (ik\u00e4:\r\n19.1\u00b10.3 v) Kainuun Prikaatin viestikomppaniasta. Tutkittavat jaettiin varusmiespalvelusta\r\nedelt\u00e4v\u00e4n fyysisen aktiivisuuden perusteella aktiivi-, harraste- ja perustasoryhm\u00e4\u00e4n.\r\nTutkimusjaksolla fyysist\u00e4 kuormittavuutta ja energiankulutusta arvioitiin mittaamalla\r\nsykett\u00e4 ja fyysist\u00e4 aktiivisuutta. Kokonaiskuormittavuuden arvioimiseksi mitatusta\r\nsykedatasta laskettiin rasituskertym\u00e4\u00e4 p\u00e4iv\u00e4- ja viikkokohtaisesti sek\u00e4 koko\r\nperuskoulutuskauden ajalle. Yksitt\u00e4isten aktiviteettilajien intensiteetti\u00e4 arvioitiin sek\u00e4 sykeett\u00e4\r\naktiivisuusmittausten avulla.\r\nPeruskoulutuskauden p\u00e4ivitt\u00e4inen ja viikottainen fyysinen kuormittavuus (TRIMP) oli\r\nverrattavissa kest\u00e4vyysurheilijoiden vastaaviin kokonaiskuormituksiin. V\u00e4hiten liikkuneet\r\nalokkaat kuormittuivat eniten (TRIMPperus=12393 vs. TRIMPharraste=10252, p<0.05 ja\r\nTRIMPaktiivi=8444, p<0.01) tutkimusjakson aikana huolimatta tasoryhmiin jakamisesta.\r\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 oli havaittavissa p\u00e4iv\u00e4- ja viikkokohtaisissa, sek\u00e4 koko tutkimusjakson aikaisessa\r\nkokonaiskuormituksessa.\r\nIntensiteetilt\u00e4\u00e4n peruskoulutuskauden aktiviteettilajit kuuluivat joko matalaan tai\r\nkohtalaiseen intensiteettiluokkaan (<6MET). Merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4 kokonaiskuormittavuus aiheutui\r\nsiten intensiteetin sijaan kuormituksen pitk\u00e4st\u00e4 kestosta. Eri mittausmenetelmill\u00e4 arvioidut\r\nintensiteetit erosivat toisistaan suurimmassa osassa aktiviteettilajeja.\r\nTutkimustulosten perusteella tasoryhmien kokonaiskuormituksen optimointi ei ollut\r\nperuskoulutuskauden aikana riitt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4. Tasoryhmien fyysist\u00e4 harjoittelua tulisi erilaistaa\r\naiempaa voimakkaammin. Lis\u00e4ksi varusmiespalveluksen kuormittavuutta tulisi jatkossa\r\nmitata my\u00f6s palveluksen aikana, jotta fyysinen harjoittelu voitaisiin yksil\u00f6id\u00e4 paremmin\r\nerikuntoisille alokkaille. In order to enchance and maintain aerobic performance, certain amount of\r\nphysical activity is demanded. On the other hand, excessive and prolonged physical activity\r\nleads to overreaching state, which is followed by decresed physical performance and other\r\nphysiological and psychological symptoms. The purpose of this study was to measure\r\ntraining load and energy expenditure during military basic training period using objective\r\nmeasurements in authentic environment.\r\nThirtyfour voluntary male conscrispts (age: 19.1 \u00b1 0.3 years) from Kainuu Pricade\r\nparticipated in this eight week study. Subjects were divided into three fitness groups (pro,\r\nsemi, basic) by their physical activity state prior military service. During the study period\r\nheart rate monitors and accelerometers were used to evaluate physical activity and energy\r\nexpenditure. Heart rate data was used to calculate the training load (TRIMP, training\r\nimpact) for each day, week and the whole basic training period. The intensity of single\r\nactivity was evaluated using both physical activity measurements.\r\nTraining load of basic training period was remarkable and paralled with the training load of\r\nelite athletes during the training and competition period. The conscripts in the basic group\r\nwere most loaded during the study period (TRIMPbasic=12393 vs. TRIMPsemi=10252,\r\np<0.01 ja TRIMPpro=8444, p<0.05). The intensity of different physical activities during the\r\nbasic training period were low or moderate (<6MET). Thus, the remarkable training load\r\nwas rather due to extended duration of activity than high intensity.\r\nAccording to this study, the optimizing of training load into different fitness groups was not\r\nsufficient during the basic training period. Thus, the differentiation in training loads ought\r\nto be even stronger. In the future, measuring the training load during the military service is\r\nrecommended in order to individualise the training load for each conscript.
