Oppimisvaikeudet saattavat vaikuttaa merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4sti oppilaiden tunteisiin tiettyj\u00e4 oppiaineita kohtaan, mutta my\u00f6s opettajilla, oppimateriaaleilla ja luokkatovereilla voi olla vaikutusta. Tunteiden tutkiminen on siis hyvin t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4, sill\u00e4 opettajat voivat hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 tuloksia opetuksen ja luokkatilanteiden kehitt\u00e4misess\u00e4 niin, ett\u00e4 oppiminen olisi jokaiselle oppilaalle mahdollisimman mieluisa kokemus. \r\n\r\nTutkielman tarkoituksena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia tunteita oppilailla, joilla on oppimisvaikeuksia, on englantia kohtaan. Tutkimuksen aineisto koostuu kahden nelj\u00e4sluokkalaisen piirustuksista ja haastatteluista. Piirustukset ja haastattelut toimivat t\u00e4ss\u00e4 toisiaan tukevina menetelmin\u00e4, ja erityisesti piirt\u00e4minen sopii hyvin lapsille, sill\u00e4 se auttaa ilmaisemaan hankaliltakin tuntuvia tunteita. Sek\u00e4 piirustukset ett\u00e4 haastattelut analysoitiin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin menetelmin. \r\n\r\nTulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 jopa vain kahden lapsen v\u00e4lill\u00e4 voi olla hyvinkin erilaisia tunteita: ensimm\u00e4isen oppilaan tunteet olivat eritt\u00e4in positiivisia, ja h\u00e4n nautti suuresti englannin oppimisesta. H\u00e4n koki, ett\u00e4 englannin oppiminen oli helppoa, rentoa, hy\u00f6dyllist\u00e4 ja mukavaa. Toisella oppilaalla taas oli enemm\u00e4n negatiivisia ja sekavia tunteita englantia kohtaan: h\u00e4nest\u00e4 englannin opiskelu oli vaikeaa, ja useimmiten h\u00e4n oli kovin levoton oppitunneilla. T\u00e4m\u00e4 oppilas ei ollut aivan varma englannin hy\u00f6dyllisyydest\u00e4, ja positiivisia tunteita h\u00e4n liitti englannin k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n koulun ulkopuolella.\r\n\r\nVaikka tulokset eiv\u00e4t olekaan yleistett\u00e4viss\u00e4 pienen otoksen vuoksi, ne kannustavat kuitenkin lis\u00e4tutkimukseen.
