Tarkoituksena on my\u00f6s tarkastella, miten poikien ja tytt\u00f6jen strategioiden k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 eroaa toisistaan. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkielmassa selvitet\u00e4\u00e4n, ovatko abiturientit aikaisemmin kuulleet ja k\u00e4ytt\u00e4neet tietoisesti hy\u00f6dykseen oppimisstrategioita ja olisiko heid\u00e4n mielest\u00e4\u00e4n niist\u00e4 puhuminen koulussa hy\u00f6dyllist\u00e4.\n\nTutkimusmetodina k\u00e4ytettiin kyselytutkimusta, joka koostui 29:st\u00e4 Likert-asteikon v\u00e4itt\u00e4m\u00e4st\u00e4 ja kolmesta avoimesta kysymyksest\u00e4. Likert-asteikon v\u00e4itt\u00e4m\u00e4t analysoitiin kvantitatiivisin menetelmin ja avoimet kysymykset kvalitatiivisin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin keinoin. Aineisto koostuu 45 abiturientin vastauksista. Vastanneista 27 oli tytt\u00f6j\u00e4 ja 18 poikia.\n\nTutkimustulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 poikien ja tytt\u00f6jen oppimisstrategioiden k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 on joitain eroavaisuuksia, kun he opiskelevat ruotsin kielen kielioppia. Aikaisemmat strategiatutkimukset, jotka ovat kartoittaneet strategioiden k\u00e4yt\u00f6n sukupuolieroja, ovat saaneet my\u00f6s tuloksia, joissa ilmenee eroja sukupuolten v\u00e4lill\u00e4. N\u00e4iden tutkimusten tuloksista k\u00e4vi ilmi muun muassa se, ett\u00e4 naiset k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t useampia strategioita kuin miehet. Samansuuntaisia tuloksia saatiin my\u00f6s t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa. Yleisesti ottaen k\u00e4ytetyimpi\u00e4 strategioita t\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman mukaan olivat kognitiiviset ja sosio-affektiiviset oppimisstrategiat. \n\nAbiturienttien vastauksista k\u00e4vi my\u00f6s ilmi se, ett\u00e4 heid\u00e4n mielest\u00e4\u00e4n olisi hy\u00f6dyllist\u00e4, jos oppimisstrategioita k\u00e4sitelt\u00e4isiin koulussa. Tulokset viittaavat my\u00f6s siihen, ett\u00e4 joillekin oppilaille strategiat olivat outo aihe ja ett\u00e4 jotkut oppilaat eiv\u00e4t tienneet k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4ns\u00e4 strategioita opiskellessaan. Osalle oppimisstrategiat olivat tutumpia ja he k\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t strategioita tietoisesti hyv\u00e4kseen. \n\nTulosten perusteella voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 opettajien tulisi kertoa oppimisstrategioista enemm\u00e4n oppilailleen, sill\u00e4 strategioiden avulla oppimisesta tulee mm. tehokkaampaa, helpompaa ja hauskempaa.
