Toimiessaan hyvin se parantaa ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden motivaatiota, vaikuttamismahdollisuuksia, sitoutuneisuutta ja innostuneisuutta sek\u00e4 koettua ilmapiiri\u00e4 (esim. Baard, Deci & Ryan 2004, 2061; Koskinen 2003; 75\u201376). T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin er\u00e4\u00e4n teollisuuden pienyrityksen ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6viestint\u00e4\u00e4. Tutkimus tehtiin tuotannossa ty\u00f6skentelevien ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta, joten heid\u00e4n mielipiteit\u00e4\u00e4n ja toiveitaan selvitettiin. \r\n\r\nAihetta l\u00e4hestyttiin kahden tutkimuskysymyksen avulla: 1) millainen on tutkimuksen kohdeorganisaation esimiesten ja alaisten v\u00e4linen suhde, sek\u00e4 2) millaista on tutkimuksen kohdeorganisaation ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6viestint\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Toinen tutkimuskysymys jakaantui seuraaviin alakysymyksiin: miten ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6viestinn\u00e4n eri sis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4 koskeva viestint\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden mielest\u00e4 toimii, miten ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t toivovat ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6viestinn\u00e4n j\u00e4rjestett\u00e4v\u00e4n, sek\u00e4 miten vastavuoroiseksi ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t kokevat ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6viestinn\u00e4n.\r\n\r\nTutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin sek\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llist\u00e4 ett\u00e4 laadullista menetelm\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en. Metodeina olivat strukturoitu kysely sek\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4haastattelu. Tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t olivat yleisesti ottaen tyytyv\u00e4isi\u00e4 organisaationsa ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6viestint\u00e4\u00e4n. Erityisen hyviksi voitiin todeta ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden ja esimiesten v\u00e4liset suhteet. Eniten ongelmia koettiin ilmenev\u00e4n h\u00e4iri\u00f6tilanteita ja tuotemuutoksia koskevassa viestinn\u00e4ss\u00e4. Ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t toivoivat voivansa osallistua ty\u00f6t\u00e4\u00e4n koskevaan p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksentekoon nykyist\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n. Tutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6viestinn\u00e4n kohentaminen ei v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00e4 vaadi suuria henkisi\u00e4 eik\u00e4 taloudellisia ponnisteluja, vaan ennen kaikkea oikeisiin asioihin puuttumista.
