T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin vastaavaan interventioon osallistuvien yliopisto-opiskelijoiden ominaisuuksia keskittyen erilaisiin psykologisiin profiileihin, tavoitteena lis\u00e4t\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 kohderyhm\u00e4st\u00e4 ja sen tuen tarpeista. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus on osa Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston Student Life -toimintamallia. Keskeisen\u00e4 osana malliin kuuluu opiskelijoiden hyvinvoinnin tukemiseen kehitetty Opiskelijan Kompassi, joka on hyv\u00e4ksymis- ja omistautumisterapiaan (HOT) pohjautuva verkkointerventio. Tutkimusaineisto (n = 305) on aiemmin ker\u00e4tty Opiskelijan Kompassin tuetusta yksil\u00f6valmennuskomponentista syksyjen 2020 ja 2024 v\u00e4lisen\u00e4 aikana. Interventioon ilmoittautuneet opiskelijat vastasivat piirteilt\u00e4\u00e4n yleist\u00e4 yliopisto-opiskelija populaatiota, mutta naiset olivat otoksessa yliedustettuina. Opiskelijoiden itseraportoitujen huolenaiheiden tarkastelu osoitti, ett\u00e4 yleisimmin koetut ongelmat olivat stressi, opiskeluun liittyv\u00e4t huolet sek\u00e4 jaksamattomuus. K-keskiarvojen klusterianalyysia k\u00e4ytettiin tunnistamaan opiskelijoiden muodostamia alaryhmi\u00e4 psyykkisen kuormittuneisuuden, psykologisen joustavuuden ja mindfulnessin perusteella. Klusterointi paljasti nelj\u00e4 erillist\u00e4 profiilia: (1) Kohtalainen kuormittuneisuus \u2013 Kohtalainen psykologinen joustavuus & matalin havainnointi (29.6%), (2) Korkein kuormittuneisuus \u2013 Matalin psykologinen joustavuus & mindfulness (22.0%), (3) Matalin kuormittuneisuus \u2013 Korkein psykologinen joustavuus & mindfulness (21.1%) ja (4) Kohtalainen kuormittuneisuus \u2013 Kohtalainen psykologinen joustavuus & korkein havainnointi (27.3%). T\u00e4ss\u00e4 kliinisess\u00e4 otoksessa tunnistetut profiilirakenteet osoittivat jossain m\u00e4\u00e4rin yht\u00e4l\u00e4isyyksi\u00e4 yleisell\u00e4 opiskelijapopulaatiolla tunnistettujen rakenteiden kanssa, kuitenkin eroten merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4sti profiilien suhteellisissa ko\u00b4oissa. Kaikki profiilit ilmensiv\u00e4t v\u00e4hint\u00e4\u00e4n kohtalaista psyykkist\u00e4 kuormittuneisuutta. Vuorovaikutus psyykkisen kuormittuneisuuden ja psykologisten taitojen v\u00e4lill\u00e4 muodosti ainutlaatuisia profiilipiirteit\u00e4, jotka puolestaan heijastelivat erityisi\u00e4 tukitarpeita. This study examines the characteristics of students who engage with such interventions, focusing on different psychological profiles to better understand the needs of the target group. This study is a part of the Student Life operational model at the University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4. The Student Compass, an integral component of the Student Life model, is a blended Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention designed to support student well-being. The data (n = 305) were drawn from the individual coaching component of the Student Compass between fall 2020 and fall 2024. The students who engaged with the intervention reflected the characteristics of the general university student population; however, women were overrepresented in the sample. By observing the frequencies of students\u2019 self-reported issues, the most commonly experienced issues were stress, concerns with studies, and fatigue. The K-means clustering analysis was used to identify subgroups of psychological distress, psychological flexibility, and mindfulness among students. The clustering revealed four distinct profiles: (1) Moderate Distress \u2013 Moderate PF & Lowest Observing (29.6%), (2) Highest Distress \u2013 Lowest PF & Mindfulness (22.0%), (3) Lowest Distress \u2013 Highest PF & Mindfulness (21.1%), and (4) Moderate Distress \u2013 Moderate PF & Highest Observing (27.3%). The structure of the profiles, identified within a clinical student sample, showed some similarity to those reported in general student populations, but their proportions differed significantly. Each profile demonstrated at least moderate levels of psychological distress. The interaction between distress and psychological skills resulted in unique profile features, which in turn reflected specific support needs. These findings indicate the relevance of tailoring interventions according to students\u2019 mental health profiles.
