description AI is reshaping modern organizations by transforming work processes and emphasizing the importance of AI-related skills for future professionals. At the same time, human in-terpersonal abilities such as effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork are increasingly recognized as essential. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence are also significantly transforming the landscape of higher education. This master’s thesis aims to deepen the understanding of AI-supported collaborative learning in higher educa-tion contexts and to contribute to the ongoing discourse on digital transformation in edu-cation, emphasizing the importance of students’ AI literacy competencies on collabora-tive learning. The thesis is grounded in the co-authored and peer-reviewed systematic literature review article. It investigates the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into collaborative learning situations within a higher education context. By synthesizing cur-rent research, it identifies key perspectives from the literature and examines the observed effects of AI on collaborative learning among students. From the review of 34 articles, five main categories and 20 subcategories were identified. Based on the findings, AI integration in collaborative learning situations holds potential in fostering not only collaborative but also individual learning processes. This thesis provides valuable insights by identifying key aspects of AI integration in collaborative learning contexts within higher education. Moreover, it outlines the current state of this integration and highlights areas where further research is needed. Tekoäly (AI) muokkaa nykyaikaisia organisaatioita muuttamalla työprosesseja ja koros-tamalla tekoälyyn liittyvien taitojen merkitystä tuleville ammattilaisille. Samalla taitojen, kuten vuorovaikutuksen, ongelmanratkaisun ja tiimityöskentelyn, merkitys korostuu enti-sestään. Viimeaikaiset tekoälyn edistysaskeleet muuttavat merkittävästi myös korkeakou-lutuksen kenttää. Tämä Pro gradu -tutkielma pyrkii syventämään ymmärrystä tekoälyn tukemasta yhteistoiminnallisesta oppimisesta korkeakoulukontekstissa sekä osallistumaan koulutuksen digitaalista murrosta koskevaan keskusteluun, painottaen opiskelijoiden te-koälylukutaidon merkitystä yhteistoiminnallisessa oppimisessa. Tämä tutkielma pohjau-tuu yhteisöllisesti kirjoitettuun ja vertaisarvioituun kirjallisuuskatsaukseen. Katsaus tar-kastelee kirjallisuudessa esiintyviä keskeisiä teemoja ja analysoi tekoälyn vaikutuksia yhteistoiminnalliseen oppimiseen korkeakoulukontekstissa. Tutkimukseen valikoitui 34 artikkelia, joiden analyysin perusteella tunnistettiin viisi pääkategoriaa ja 20 alakategoriaa. Tulosten mukaan tekoälyn hyödyntäminen yhteistoiminnallisissa oppimistilanteissa voi tukea sekä ryhmässä tapahtuvaa että yksilöllistä oppimista. Tutkielma tarjoaa kat-sauksen tekoälyn integrointiin yhteistoiminnallisessa oppimisessa korkeakoulutuksessa, tunnistaen keskeiset näkökulmat, nykytilanteen ja jatkotutkimuksen tarpeet.
