Lis\u00e4ksi tiedet\u00e4\u00e4n, ett\u00e4 opettaja-oppilassuhde voi n\u00e4ill\u00e4 oppilailla muotoutua kielteisemm\u00e4ksi, jolloin my\u00f6s oppilaan kokema opettajan emotionaalinen tuki voi olla v\u00e4h\u00e4isemp\u00e4\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten oppimiseen liittyv\u00e4t tunteet (pit\u00e4minen ja j\u00e4nnitt\u00e4minen) ja oppilaan kokema opettajan emotionaalinen tuki ovat yhteydess\u00e4 toisiinsa sek\u00e4 lukemisen ja matematiikan taitotasoon ja ADHD-oireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4n. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin lis\u00e4ksi sukupuolieroja sek\u00e4 sit\u00e4, moderoiko koettu opettajan emotionaalinen tuki oppimiseen liittyvien tunteiden yhteytt\u00e4 lukemisen ja matematiikan taitotasoon tai ADHD-oireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4n. Tutkimus oli osa Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston InterLearnin Pieni Karhu -seurantatutkimusta. Tutkimuksen aineisto (N = 172) on ker\u00e4tty kahdeksalta eri paikkakunnalta syksyll\u00e4 2023 ja kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2024 oppilaiden ollessa 1. luokalla. Analyyseissa k\u00e4ytettiin Spearmanin j\u00e4rjestyskorrelaatiokerrointa, Mann-Whitney U -testi\u00e4 ja hierarkkista lineaarista regressioanalyysia. Tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 sek\u00e4 lukemisen ett\u00e4 matematiikan taitotaso oli yhteydess\u00e4 j\u00e4nnitt\u00e4misen tunteisiin, mutta ADHD-oireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 tai sukupuoli ei ollut. Opettajan emotionaalinen tuki oli yhteydess\u00e4 pit\u00e4miseen muttei j\u00e4nnitt\u00e4miseen kaikilla oppilailla riippumatta oppilaan taitotasosta tai ADHD-oireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4st\u00e4. However, negative emotions can be pronounced in students with poor reading or mathematics skill level or ADHD symptoms. In addition, teacher-student relationships can become more negative for these students, and student-perceived teacher emotional support may also be lower. However, not much prior research has been done. The aim of this study was to investigate how academic emotions (enjoyment and anxiety) and student-perceived teacher emotional support are connected to each other, and to reading and mathematics skill level and ADHD symptoms. This study also examined gender differences and whether perceived teacher emotional support moderated the relationship between academic emotions and the skill levels or ADHD symptoms. This study was part of Interlearn \u201cPieni Karhu\u201d follow-up study at the university of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4. The study data (N = 172) was collected from eight Finnish municipalities in the fall of 2023 and spring of 2024 when the students were in 1st grade. The data was analyzed using Spearman\u2019s correlation coefficient, Mann-Whitney U-test and hierarchical linear regression analysis. The results indicated that reading and mathematics skill level were connected to feelings of anxiety, but ADHD symptoms and gender were not. Teacher emotional support was associated with feelings of enjoyment for all students. In contrast, boys experienced less teacher emotional support than girls. Based on the results, it is important for teachers to provide emotional support for all students, possibly paying special attention to boys and students who experience more negative emotions.
