Ty\u00f6n imun m\u00e4\u00e4ritell\u00e4\u00e4n olevan positiivinen, tyydytt\u00e4v\u00e4 ja ty\u00f6h\u00f6n liittyv\u00e4 mielentila. Ty\u00f6h\u00f6ns\u00e4 sitoutuneet ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t ovat tuotteliaita, avoimia uusille asioille ja valmiita tekem\u00e4\u00e4n ty\u00f6ns\u00e4 parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla.\nT\u00e4ss\u00e4 pro gradu -tutkielmassa tutkittiin palkka-asiantuntijoiden kokemuksia ty\u00f6n imusta, ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 tarvittavista voimavaroista sek\u00e4 ty\u00f6n tuunaamisesta. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten palkka-asiantuntijat kokevat ja ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4v\u00e4t ty\u00f6n imua, mit\u00e4 voimavaratekij\u00f6it\u00e4 he kokevat t\u00e4rkeiksi ja miten ty\u00f6n tuunaamisen koetaan vaikuttavan ty\u00f6n imuun. Koska ty\u00f6n imu on hyvin yksil\u00f6llinen kokemus, haluttiin t\u00e4ll\u00e4 tutkimuksella saada lis\u00e4\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 palkka-asiantuntijoiden ty\u00f6n imusta, jota on tutkittu ennest\u00e4\u00e4n hyvin v\u00e4h\u00e4n. Tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena haastattelututkimuksena ja aineistoa analysoitiin teoriaohjaavan sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin avulla. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin haastattelemalla eri organisaatioista kahdeksaa palkka-asiantuntijana toimivaa henkil\u00f6\u00e4, joilla oli v\u00e4hint\u00e4\u00e4n kahden vuoden kokemus palkanlaskennan teht\u00e4vist\u00e4. \nTutkimuksen tulosten perusteella palkka-asiantuntijoiden ty\u00f6n imu ilmenee erityisesti nelj\u00e4n teeman kautta, joita olivat ty\u00f6n mielekkyys, ty\u00f6n merkityksellisyys, ty\u00f6h\u00f6n uppoutuminen sek\u00e4 ty\u00f6st\u00e4 innostuminen. Voimavaratekij\u00f6iden tarve on aina yksil\u00f6llist\u00e4 ja palkka-asiantuntijoiden ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 korostuu useita voimavaroja, jotka ovat merkityksellisi\u00e4 ty\u00f6n imun mahdollistamisessa. Palkka-asiantuntijat tuunaavat ty\u00f6t\u00e4\u00e4n erityisesti muokkaamalla ty\u00f6j\u00e4rjestyst\u00e4\u00e4n sek\u00e4 tekem\u00e4ll\u00e4 kehitysty\u00f6t\u00e4 ty\u00f6n sujuvoittamiseksi.
