Varhainen vuorovaikutus on edellytys kielen omaksumisen kehittymiselle (Paavola-Ruotsalainen ja Rantalainen, 2020). Valtaosa kuuroista lapsista syntyy kuuleville vanhemmille, joilla ei v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00e4 ole tuntemusta viittomakielisest\u00e4 vuorovaikutuksesta (Depowski ym., 2015).\nTutkielmassa aineistona toimi viisitoista VIKKE-hankkeessa ker\u00e4tty\u00e4 videota, jotka sis\u00e4lsiv\u00e4t kolmen eri kuuro vanhempi\u2014kuuleva lapsi parin vuorovaikutushetkist\u00e4 toteutettuja videotallenteita. Lasten i\u00e4t olivat videoiden kuvauksen aikana 2\u201412-kuukautta. \nT\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa k\u00e4yt\u00e4n huomion kiinnitt\u00e4misen ja yll\u00e4pit\u00e4misen strategioista termi\u00e4 \u201dkommunikatiivisen kontaktin strategiat\u201d. Kommunikatiivisen kontaktin strategioiksi rajautuivat heilutus, osoite, esine ja kosketus. N\u00e4m\u00e4 strategiat ovat aiemmassa teoriassa esitettyj\u00e4 keinoja, joilla kuurot vanhemmat pyrkiv\u00e4t kiinnitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n lapsensa huomiota. Vanhempien ja lasten katseista analysoitiin katseiden kohteet seuraavasti: 1) jaettu tarkkaavaisuus, 2) kasvot, viittomat, 3) esine ja 4) muu kohde. Kohteen lis\u00e4ksi my\u00f6s katseiden kestot. Aineiston analyysiss\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin ELAN-annotointiohjelmaa. Tutkielma on laadullinen katsaus luonnolliseen vuorovaikutukseen vanhemman ja lapsen v\u00e4lill\u00e4.\nTutkielman tulokset osoittivat lasten ensimm\u00e4isen puolen vuoden aikana vuorovaikutuksen ollen l\u00e4hinn\u00e4 kasvokkaista. Lasten t\u00e4ytetty\u00e4 6 kuukautta, tuloksissa kehitysharppaus. Vuorovaikutukseen tuli uusia elementtej\u00e4, kuten jaettu tarkkaavaisuus. Kosketuksen rinnalle merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4ksi strategiaksi nousi osoitukset.\nTulokset nostivat esille kosketuksen merkityksen viittomakielisess\u00e4 vuorovaikutuksessa. Kosketus toimi yleisimp\u00e4n\u00e4 kommunikatiivisen kontaktin strategiana vanhemman ja lapsen v\u00e4lisess\u00e4 vuorovaikutuksessa lasten ensimm\u00e4isen ik\u00e4vuoden aikana. Early interaction is a prerequisite for the development of language acquisition (Paavola-Ruotsalainen and Rantalainen, 2020). The majority of deaf children are born to hearing parents who may not have knowledge of sign language interaction (Depowski et. al., 2015).\nThe study examines early sign language interaction and its features. The material for the study consisted of fifteen videos from the VIKKE project, which included early interaction of three different deaf parent-hearing child pairs. The children's ages during the video recordings ranged from 2 to 12 months.\nThe parents' attention-getting and maintaining strategies, i.e. in this study, communicative contact strategies, were categorized as waving, pointing, object, and touch. The targets of the parents' and children's gazes were analyzed: joint attention, faces, signs, objects, and other targets, as well as the duration of gazes. The ELAN annotation software was used for the data analysis. The study is a qualitative review of natural interaction between parents and children.\nThe results showed a significant developmental leap after the children reached 6 months of age, when the interaction was no longer solely face-to-face. New elements, such as objects, entered the interaction, and parents began to use pointing alongside touch to attract and maintain their children's attention.\nThe results highlighted the importance of touch in sign language interaction. Touch was the most common communicative contact strategy while the children approached their first year of age.
