T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman aiheena on ruotsin kielen opettajien kokemukset ja k\u00e4sitykset monikielisist\u00e4 k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteist\u00e4 opetuksessa. Tarkastelen monikielisi\u00e4 k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4 limitt\u00e4iskieleilyn (translanguaging) n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Limitt\u00e4iskieleily korostaa yksil\u00f6n monikielisyytt\u00e4 yhten\u00e4isen\u00e4 eri kieliresursseista koostuvana repertuaarina (Garc\u00eda & Li, 2014). Pedagogisessa eli opetukseen ja koulutukseen sovelletussa limitt\u00e4iskieleilyss\u00e4 (eng. pedagogical translanguaging) on keskeist\u00e4 sellaisen tietoisen opetuksellisen strategian k\u00e4ytt\u00e4minen, jossa oppilaiden monikielisyytt\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynnet\u00e4\u00e4n osana oppimista. Sen avulla pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n luomaan oppimistilasta monikielinen ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6, jossa oppilaiden on mahdollista hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 koko kielellist\u00e4 repertuaariaan (Cenoz & Gorter, 2022). Monikielisyys ja pedagoginen limitt\u00e4iskieleily ovat nousseet keskeisiksi kielentutkimuksen tutkimusaiheiksi monikielisyyden yleistyess\u00e4 suomalaisissa kouluissa, mutta sit\u00e4 ei ole kielten opetuksen osalta viel\u00e4 kovin paljon tutkittu.\nTutkimuskysymykseni ovat seuraavat:\n1. Millaisia kokemuksia ruotsinopettajilla on limitt\u00e4iskieleilyst\u00e4 opetustilanteissa?\n2. Ottavatko opettajat huomioon oppilaidensa monikielisyyden opetuksessa, ja jos ottavat, niin miten? 3. Millaisia k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 opettajilla on limitt\u00e4iskieleilyst\u00e4 osana opetusta?\nKer\u00e4sin aineistoni haastattelemalla viitt\u00e4 ruotsin kielen opettajaa eri puolelta suomea et\u00e4yhteyksin kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2024. Analysoin aineistoa sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin keinoin.\nTutkielman tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 haastatellut opettajat k\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t spontaanisti monia eri kieli\u00e4 opetuksessaan etenkin vertailun ja esimerkkien muodossa. Oppilaiden monikielisyytt\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynnettiin v\u00e4h\u00e4n opetuksessa vain v\u00e4h\u00e4n, eik\u00e4 limitt\u00e4iskieleily\u00e4 toteutettu suunnitelmallisesti tai pedagogisena strategiana. Vaikka opettajat suhtautuivat limitt\u00e4iskieleilyyn yleisesti my\u00f6nteisesti, he ilmaisivat huolta siit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 se saattaisi haitata ruotsin oppimista.\nTutkimuksen tuloksia voidaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 esimerkiksi opettajankoulutuksessa ja monikielisen opetuksen suunnittelussa.
