The study also explored the coaches' perceptions of their own pedagogical competence in coaching.\n\nThe research was conducted as a qualitative study that includes phenomenographic elements. The data consisted of responses from an online questionnaire completed by ringette coaches of 11\u201312-year-olds in Southern and Western Finland. The data was collected through the online questionnaire in the spring of 2024. The analysis method used for the data was theory-driven content analysis.\n\nThe key findings of the study indicate that teaching styles from Mosston's spectrum, such as differentiated instruction and task teaching, are used unconsciously by coaches of 11\u201312-year-old children in ringette. To develop their own skills, coaches follow other coaches, participate in training, and seek information online. Pedagogical competence is particularly manifested through interaction skills, assessment of learning, and the development of one's own skills, which are identified as key factors in the coaching of ringette coaches. Interaction skills are seen as essential in the coach's role, and there is an effort to listen to the athletes. Additional-ly, the development of their own interaction skills is perceived as important. Tut-kimuksen aineisto koostui Etel\u00e4- ja L\u00e4nsi-Suomen 11\u201312-vuotiaiden lasten ringettevalmenta-jien verkkokyselylomakkeen vastauksista. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin verkkokyselylomakkeella kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2024. Aineiston analyysimenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin teoriaohjaavaa sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi\u00e4. \n\nTutkimuksen keskeiset l\u00f6yd\u00f6kset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 Mosstonin spektrin opetustyylej\u00e4, kuten eriy-tyv\u00e4\u00e4 opetusta ja teht\u00e4v\u00e4opetusta, k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n tiedostamatta 11\u201312-vuotiaiden lasten ringette-valmentajien toimesta. Oman osaamisen kehitt\u00e4miseksi seurataan muita valmentajia, osallistu-taan koulutuksiin ja etsit\u00e4\u00e4n tietoa verkosta. Pedagoginen osaaminen ilmenee erityisesti vuoro-vaikutustaitojen, oppimisen arvioinnin ja oman osaamisen kehitt\u00e4misen kautta, jotka tunniste-taan keskeisiksi tekij\u00f6iksi ringettevalmentajien valmennuksessa.
