Summary:The study aims to explore corporate social responsibility strategies of garment industry of Bangladesh, tries to find how they can contribute addressing the decent work conditions in the industry. It was found that a great number of strategies address the agenda of decent work. However, there is a lack of awareness of the subject among the employers. Further, it has other challenges such as financial constraints, lack of collaboration among stakeholders, and administrational lacking of the government. Besides, the study found that CSR strategies are assisting constructing economic citizenship among the industry’s’ worker, though other social constraints such as lower education, insufficient skill, and social stigma influence these workers’ social inclusion. Finally, the study has made some suggestions for the stakeholders to make CSR strategies more efficient to address the issues of decent work conditions.
