Tämä on kuitenkin ristiriidassa työelämän vaatimusten kanssa, sillä tällä hetkellä valtaosa suomalaisista yrityksistä käyttää ketteriä kehitysmenetelmiä osana ohjelmistokehitysprojektejaan. Tutkielmassa toteutettavan kirjallisuuskatsauksen myötä huomataan, että ketterien kehitysmenetelmien opetuksessa korostuu erityisesti kommunikaatio osapuolten välillä sekä ketterien kehitysmenetelmien soveltamien ja mahdollinen realistisuudesta tinkiminen, mikäli se palvelee opetuksen tarpeita parhaiten. Teaching agile development methods in higher education is studied in this bachelor’s thesis. Agile development principles haven’t been taught in higher education for long, and the courses focusing on agile methodologies have usually been elective courses. It contradicts the needs of the IT field, as agile methods are growing in popularity. Study is done as a literature review, and it is concluded that the most important aspects of successful teaching are good communication between all participants as well as applying agile methods freely while not demanding for strict realism during course’s project work.
