T\u00e4m\u00e4n\ntutkimuksen tavoitteena oli kartoittaa teko\u00e4lyn nykytilaa kaikilla eri\nverkkokauppojen osa-alueilla ja arvioida teko\u00e4lyn k\u00e4yt\u00f6n eettisyytt\u00e4, etenkin\ntietosuojan ja l\u00e4pin\u00e4kyvyyden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmista. Tutkimus toteutettiin\nkirjallisuuskatsauksena, jossa analysoitiin olemassa olevaa kirjallisuutta ja\nvertailtiin uusia tutkimuksia aiempiin l\u00f6yd\u00f6ksiin. Keskeisen\u00e4 l\u00e4hteen\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin\nvanhempaa kirjallisuuskatsausta, jonka pohjalta arvioitiin uudempia\ntutkimuksia. Tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 teko\u00e4lypohjaiset teknologiat, kuten\nkoneoppiminen ja syv\u00e4oppiminen ovat keskeisi\u00e4 ty\u00f6kaluja verkkokauppojen\ntoiminnan tehostamisessa. AI enables e-commerce platforms to enhance their operations such as\nrecommendation systems, chat-bot-operated customer service and logistics\nprocesses. This study aimed to explore the current state of AI in e-commerce and\nassess its ethical implications, particularly regarding data privacy and\ntransparency. The research was conducted as a literature review, analyzing\nexisting literature and comparing the latest studies to previous findings. The\nprimary source for this study was an older comprehensive literature review,\nwhich was used as a foundation for evaluating newer studies. The results\nindicate that AI technologies, such as machine learning and deep learning are\nessential for improving the efficiency of e-commerce operations. They enhance\nthe accuracy of recommendation systems, the quality of the customer service and\nthe efficiency of logistics. Ethical issues are critical in the use of AI in e-commerce.\nWhile AI helps combat fraud and improve data security, it does raise concerns\nabout customers privacy and the collection of personal data. A lack of\ntransparency regarding the use of AI can also undermine customers trust in e-\ncommerce platforms. In conclusion, AI plays a significant role in enhancing e-\ncommerce operations and improving customer experience. E-commerce\nplatforms should utilize AI comprehensively but still pay special attention to\nethical issues like data privacy and transparency.
